Very cute! I love it!
What color is the cake? You should spray paint it to match! I love the idea of flowers or even vines...it will be so dramatic!
Would be SO perfect if it had two birds.. maybe you can add one with some additional wire and then paint it?
@RxBrideToBe: Right now we are leaning towards a simple white buttercream cake. We can't stand fondant. We may amp the color factor by adding the flowers or like you said, vines.
@kirabee: That's what i thought too. But at 3.99 i just thought, heck i could knock this one bird out and find 2 other birdies y'know? I still have some time to play with it. I will try making another one though. Thanx for the idea!
I rather like the look of it being weathered and the price is great. I probably would get rid of the bird and somehow incorporate two birds inside of it. Maybe make a perch of a branch and have the birds sitting on it. Maybe add a small ring of flowers on the top or around the base with a vine of sorts to go up some of the side. (big sigh) I love this type of thing!
Two birds on a little swing suspended inside that would be so cute! But I love it as it is already too. Great find!

OMG! I just found the cutest cake topper at Hobby Lobby. Well, it's not really a cake topper, just a decorative birdcage but its light and whimsical enough to serve as one. Best of all it was 3.99! Take a look! Sorry for the pic, it is from my cell and i took it on top of my daughter's toybox..haha
CUTE HUH? I am thinking it of placing it on top surrounded by flowers.
