Hello! I am getting ready to start making my wedding photo album. I have pretty much decided on Adorama after reading tons of reviews, but I’m torn on a few things, so I’d love adivce from anyone who has ordered any of these. I’m torn between the Hudson Albums and the normal ones and between leather and leather lux.
So, what combination of these have you ordered and how was the quality?

Anyone? Have you ordered any of these?

This is Libby from Adoramapix. I can help you.
First, I would make a photo book – the reason being is because you can always convert a photo book to a Hudson Album, but presently you can’t convert a Hudson Album to a photo book. This will give you more flexibility to change your mind if you start with a photo book. The pages and layouts are the exact same.
The pages for our photo books are flexible but durable. Pages for the Hudson Albums have a thin piece of cardboard placed between the pages and then the pages are mounted to that. You can see the difference below.
Photo book pages on left and Hudson albums on the right. Both offer lay-flat pages and seamless gutters.
The difference between the genuine leather and the Leather Lux is better explained and shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHp_YwscfEc&list=UUIyKUAJ2_kU1-Dz_T3OLgyg
Genuine leather is smooth and the Leather Lux has more of a pebble like texture – Like Anne’s book like she posted below.
Please feel free to email me directly if you have any other questions/concerns at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for choosing us! We appreciate your business.

After seeing this post I decided to use AdoramaPix to create our wedding album since I wanted a lay flat design. I am beyond impressed with the quality!! I also contacted Libby and she was amazingly helpful along the way – her customer service and attention to detail was really nice to have. The software was very easy to use and I was able to create custom full page layouts. My book was 66 pages, but I was able to take advantage of a 30% off sale – which helped with the cost. I’ve used Shutterfly and Blurb in the past and I think I will now exclusively use AdoramaPix. We showed our family the book at Thanksgiving and they all thought our photographers put it together.
I’m including a few pictures so you can see how nice it looks. Sorry they’re so zoomed out, but I wanted to keep some privacy!
I’m glad I did the regular photo book. Although, I would like to have it as a Hudson Album too!

Since I found the above review so helpful in my decision making I wanted to add my own review in the hope that it will help others!
Three years after my wedding I finally got around to making my album, and after much research I went with the Adoramapix Hudson album. I am blown away by the quality, it is beautiful. I chose faux leather lux (because I wanted white) with silver gilding and letters. It’s stunning.
I found the software very intuitive (this quickly became a dealbreaker for me with other sites) and I liked the fact you can do a full page spread (not all flush mounts offer that).
Obviously I don’t have a host of albums to compare to, but for the price (my photographer wanted more than $1400 for the Queensburry) I couldn’t be happier. That said, I can understand how the cost of an album from a photographer can be so high since this took a lot of time and I’m in no doubt that my photographer would have done a better job creating the layout.
I like that the pages are very thick, the gilding is a nice touch and I like that you can have a full page spread with this album. Also, the printing really picked up the stunning colors and gold of our Orthadox church.
I had a discount code for my album, but I would have been happy at full price too, I like it that much. The only downside for me was that I somehow neglegted to put the presentation box with the order (this may have been my fault but I don’t remeber seeing the option at checkout and having gone back in still I cannot find it….).

Wow. These albums look really nice. I am debating between using adorama and blurb. Blurb doesn’t have the lay flat albums, but is cheaper and I have used them in the past.

chelleynyc: Thank you so much! I want to go with white leather as well, so that’s helpful. Why did you choose Hudson instead of the photo book if I can ask? How much was the price difference?
journeyer83: Thanks for sharing! Yours looks lovely, I’m going to order one now. 🙂
