@kazarmo:  It is nice to try to include your friends, but I would suggest that you not do it for them. If you want them there, then have them, but make your choice for you and your family. Good luck!

We had a small wedding (35 invited), and found different ways to involve people. I had a matron of honor and man of honor. Mr. LK had his best man and chose another friend to be the officiant. We also had 3 readers in our ceremony. In addition, I invited all of my girls to join me in the bridal suite to hang out and get ready together, while Mr. LK invited all of the wedding guests to enjoy a round of sporting clays with him before the ceremony. And I made sure that our photographer knew about important photos with non-WP friends that we wanted to have. For us, it was the right balance between keeping the formal things small while making sure that everyone in attendance knew how very much we valued their presence that day and their role in our life every single day.
