i wore a bold colored dress, and FI wore jeans with a plaid collared shirt
@Miss. Flutterby: I'd do two outfits. 1) Your school's colors/matching school sweatshirts. You're going back... gotta represent! 2) A sundress. It's summertime and there are fun cute dresses for every style and body type. Have fun! :)
We did ours at my alma mater too! We ended up wearing jeans and gray shoes , and I wore a black shirt and he wore a light blue shirt, which were our wedding colors
@hollygowedding: I love that idea of wearing our school sweatshirts. It might be warm but maybe for a few photos it could be all too cute.
@MrsSl82be: oo I think we both own the color I'm thinking about using for the wedding. That's such a good idea too.

Maybe your school colors, or do you have old jerseys you could wear from your school or old School Tshirts with Logos/Mascots?

My only piece of advice is to wear comfortable shoes. In our first session I wore heels that killed my feet... and rather ruined my mood. The photos would probably have looked better if I weren't in so much physical pain.
I would think about the feel you want the photos to have- romantic? Vintage? Sporty? As a photographer, I like to work with a theme. I think dresses always look lovely. I would suggest FI wearing a plain shirt and slacks if you have a print dress, or vice versa.
Most importantly, wear something that makes you feel confident and like yourself- that will shine through.
I think it would be neat to incorporate school colors / jerseys or something similar in some of your pics. Otherwise, engagement pics with a pop of color always catch my eye, or even something similar to what you'd wear everyday but with an extra pop or extra accessories, heels, something like that.
