For our wedding I have choosen to order bridesmaid dresses from a big designer who is carried in most cities. My girls all live in different cities so I thought that they could just order their dress from the bridal store in their town that carries the dress. I was told by the bridal store where I bought my dress that the dresses need to be ordered at the same time from the same store to make sure that they are exactly the same colour and from the same dye block. Has anyone else heard this? Is this a true fact or is the store just wanting us to order all through them So they make more money?

I had 4 bridesmaids in 4 different states who all not only didn’t order their dresses from the same store, they didn’t even order them at the same time. All of them came out the exact same color.

Why don’t you set up ordering with a store local to you and have the girls call and order from the same place and have them shipped to them? If the brand is carried in a lot of stores the girls can try them on where they live and get the correct size but order all order from the same store? I have heard what the bridal store is telling you and there is a good chance it won’t happen but even the slight chance that it could would make me nervous. Also, if you order all the dresses from the same place sometimes they will give you a discount.
