I am trying to sell a lazaro ballgown and a tara keely mermaid that I purchased in preowned condition (worn once by another bride), I decided on a third different dress that I will wear.
I have posted the dresses on every site imaginable. All I get is spam emails and not sure what to price them? I want to get 1000 for the lazaro and 700 for the TK mermaid.
Any advice would be great as I am trying to sell asap.

How did you reach those figures of £1000 and £700? What was the original retail price and what did you pay for them? Have you had any feedback or interest shown even though you haven’t yet had a sale?

charm99: Usually when you sell secondhand I think you get around 40% or less of your purchase price. So you are selling yours THIRDhand, could you price it at 40% of what you paid?
I had no luck selling mine online either and found a local bridal boutique that handled the sale for me, and had many more interested buyers than I had. I ended up with only 25% of the original purchase price (not counting alterations!!) because the boutique took 50% of the sale price though 🙁

Koalaclark: Thank you. I paid 1500 for the lazaro (retail 3600) and did not wear it so its in great condition so I want at least 1000 because it is absolutely stunnning and in mint condition for being a preowned. The Tara Keely I paid 950 for it and it is in excellent condition as well, I never wore it ether although I did purchase it as a prewoned. There is no visible damage on wither dress. I figured if I put it up for sale this cheap it would interest more poeple but I think it is having the opposite effect?

I second Koalaclark. How much is original retail and how much did you pay? You have to figure when you buy so many dresses thinking you will just sell the one you don’t choose, you are going to loose some money. If you aren’t already, I would post at 10-20% less than what you paid.

charm99: so it sounds like the pricing is ok. Are you showing plenty of pictures and a good write up. I get put off when people just cooy the designer blurb rather than putting their own description together. Are you using the best description headline. What about postage/pick up are you offering easy options?
have you had any interest at all?
