Advice for Resort in Scottsdale?

Hi PHX brides! DH and I were looking to do a weekend getaway in Arizona. We're looking for a resort with a nice spa. We are looking into the Intercontinental Montelucia since they have a deal for $175 a night right now.

Do you ladies have any suggestions for places to stay or to stay away from? Also any suggestions on activities are welcomed.

I've heard the Montelucia is very nice. Some other nice ones (I don't know if they have any deals going right now or not) are Sanctuary and Royal Palms. The Westin Kierland and JW Marriott are also very nice. Off the top of my head I can't think of anywhere to stay away from, but let me know if you're considering one that I didn't mention and I'll try to give you some additional info on it. Also, try Tripadvisor.com and see what everyone's saying there.

Thanks azwinelover! We looked into all your suggestions. Sanctuary was gorgeous! We went with Montelucia anyway because of cost. I'm so excited to visit PHX now. It looks beautiful!
