I totally agree! I wear my wedding shoes all the time-- they were gold flats so I can wear them with jeans, skirts, dresses--everything. And they give me such warm fuzzies. <3
Agreed. My shoes are in great condition. I wear my bracelet from time to time & my fake pearls that were matched up with my grandmothers "borrowed/old" pearls.
It is totally cool to put on something you wore that day, it brings back the memories all over again :)
Totally agree, I got a cute white top to get my hair/make up done in and I love wearing it now!!
I bought two pairs of shoes (flats and heels) that I've already worn again and all the other outfits (lingerie, RD Dress, Shower dress) have all been reworn or I have an specific occasion they will make an appearance again.
This is exactly why I chose jewelry that isn't "bridal"! I planning on wearing it all again with fond memories!
My wedding day shoes and jewelry were re-wearable. It's been almost a year since our wedding, and I've reworn those things a few times. It's great :)
Great though! I'm sure you get warm fuzzies every time you wear the sweater!
Totally agree! I can wear my gold strappy sandal shoes again which makes me so happy!
I feel this way any time i wear my lipstick/gloss from the wedding and the cardigan i got to wear the day of! It makes me happy and has me smiling!
I have this idea that I want to take my wedding dress after I'm done with the day and have it altered into something I can wear everyday (a la a Project Runway episode from 2 seasons ago I think). But if I can't manage that, then it will be my shoes.
Waiting bee waits and plans crazy things. :D
I definitely agree. I wear my cardigan all the time and I love it! I also use my purse any time I need to dress up a little. And I can't help but smile.
I wore my wedding jewelry and my wedding shoes out for my birthday dinner last night! It was definitely fun to feel like a little bit of a bride!
My husband gave me a necklace with a horseshoe shaped pendant for a wedding gift on our wedding night. The horse shoe is an Irish good luck symbol for weddings (I think) so whenever I wear it I think of our wedding night :)
I also made my bridesmaids necklaces, plus an extra one for me and I wear it all the time!
Great advice! My wedding shoes were my favorite patent leather purple pumps from my closet. I wear them all the time! :-)
Totally great advice! I bought a pair of great shoes that I've worn a couple of other times since our wedding. I've worn the earrings that I wore that day too a couple of times. Our wedding colors were lavendar and celadon green and I wore a lavendar cashmere wrap around my shoulders during dinner because it was so cool. I love that wrap and will remember it always as something I wore that special day!
I also wore the pearls that my Dad gave to my Mom on their wedding day. I'll inherit them one day...and will wear them often once I get them!
I'm just waiting for it to be winter so I can wear my snowflake necklace! I've worn my earrings and shoes several times for various events and when it's cold my husband and i actually argue about who gets to wear the cashmere scarf he gave me as a wedding present! I gave him cufflinks which he wears all the time to work
Oh I love this post!!!! I bought a slate blue pashmina that can be worn again just in case I am chilly.... I also bought the cutest feather clips ever that would be fierce on a pair of black peep toes.... Gosh now since I don't have my earrings yet, you have me thinking ;)
Such a great idea! I had a black sash, black cardi and black shoes for my wedding day. And I just recently wore them with a pink dress to a wedding.
It felt really special too because it was the first wedding we'd been to as husband and wife.
I've worn my shoes twice since! They're definitely not "everyday" shoes but they are perfect for special occasions.
I've worn my shoes too! They're too dressy for everyday wear but for a night out on the town they're perfect.
I also wear my wedding shoes on occasion. The best thing is when coworkers notice (since they've seen the pictures). "Hey those are your wedding shoes!" Hah.
I picked a ceremony outfit comprised of classics--a nice sweater with a classic neckline, a black pencil skirt, and nice t-strap heels. My reception dress is green so I can wear it again by dressing it down with a cardi or something. :) None of it's getting packed away--that's money, man! Haha.
Agreed! I always get warm fuzzies when I put on my wedding day earrings to wear out on a date :)
Fun idea! I love wearing special pieces of jewelry! I love the idea of having something that you wore as part of the day that's somewhat ordinary, but is really secretly something extraordinary!
I'm wearing my wedding day shoes today, my first day back to work after the honeymoon. Sure, they may be a bit fancy for my khaki pants and green 3/4 length sleeve shirt... but they're purple, glitzy and fun, and I love them!

Hi ladies,
Just a thought as you all put together your wedding day looks - try to find just one piece that you can pull out of the closet and wear any day of the week! Today I am wearing the ivory cardigan I bought just in case it was chilly on my wedding day (and it was!). Pulling it out of the closet and wearing it to work has me thinking about my wedding day and smiling at the sweet memories. It's just kind of fun and something I didn't think much about when planning but am really happy that I have now.
We are all so focused on creating a look for the DAY, but I think it's really fun to have a few things from that special day to throw on and continue using (since the dress, the hair flower, the jewelry and the shoes have all been packed away!)
