this is a response to jessier516's post about lip gloss.

for all the lipgloss lovers out there: how do you keep your hair out of it? it seems that everytime i try wearing lip gloss, my hair gets in it, if i'm wearing my hair down too. i end up with streaks across my face and sticky hair.

love the look, just can't execute it.

    any tips?

The Laura Mercier gloss that I wear isn't sticky, neither is the Bobbi Brown I wear. You just have to find a kind that you like that isn't sticky. They're out there!

Yep, I think Kate's right, you just have to keep searching for a non-sticky gloss.  Not to be a make-up snob, I think less expensive glosses tend to be stickier.  It's worth it to spend a little more so it doesn't get your hair all icky.

any other brands you'd suggest in addition to laura mercier and bobbi brown? i've tried mac (that one is insane!), nars and trish mcevoy. none of them work for me unfortunately.. or rather they don't work with my hair.

You can also try Sephora brand....not sticky at all and pretty cheap!  (like $7 a tube).

I second Laura Mercier and also recommend Chanel Glossimers.  I find MAC lipglass to be the worst in terms of stickiness.

I tie my hair back or wear lipsick on windy days. I've tried all kinds of expensive brands and they all stick to my hair..
