As I was putting everything together last night, I realized that my home made RSVP envelopes won’t have a way for people to close them.
Do you think most people will just figure out to get a little glue or piece of tape or should I solve this problem beforehand.
I could include a little round sticker for them to close it with or put some double sided tape on it. Any other suggestions?

People are pretty dumb. Definitely put a sticker in there or get a new envelope. You don’t want stuff falling out if it in the mail!!

I would get new envelopes, but if you are tight on cash then get the double sided tape. I don’t think one of those round stickers would sufficiently hold the envelope together.

Thanks! I definitely don’t want to get new envelopes as these are hand made and decorated to coordinate with the invites. I think I will just get some double sided tape.

Martha Stewart makes a whole line of Avery labels that are fancy – they make small, round ones you can include.

@mtbikelover: I agree with housebee…double sided tape is a great idea! Be sure to post pics so we can see your invites 🙂

I think I came up with a creative way to fix this. I got double sided tape and am putting just enough to close the envelope. But I tested it and it was really hard to lift up the other side so I worry that the guests will have a difficult time. So I pulled the top layer off and stuck a piece of wax paper over it that is just slightly larger than the tape. Then the people can just pull off the wax paper and seal it.

My cousin just had this problem and they used little stickers with the couple’s initials and wedding date on them. I think you can get stickers printed fairly cheap online.
