Okay, we’re planning a wedding on a BUDGET! Kind of difficult…flowers haven’t been on the top of my priority list! Went to Hobby Lobby and bought some, what I consider, decent quality flowers. I have been working on bouquets and boutonnieres for about an hour now, and this is what I’ve come up with so far. I think I need help! I don’t have a good camera so the colors are off a little in my pics. They are kind of a burnt orange and goldish-cream, not red!
Here’s my bouquet. I haven’t wrapped it yet:
Toss boquet – I don’t really know how to wrap the stems to make them look right. Would something like this look okay?:
Bridesmaids’ boquets – once again, I don’t know how to wrap them?? I don’t want the stems completely covered, but I thought it looked odd with just a bow at the top and bottom:
And my boutonnieres…These are what I look at and think, “Wow, those are clearly DIY!”
What do you think??

They must be bad…no comments Any suggestions of what I could do to improve them?

They look fine to me…and I was wondering the same thing, since I’ll be doing my own bouquets.

Bump…one last attempt for me to get opinions?

Wow… I didn’t see this thread until just now! I like them. I especially like the way you wrapped the bridesmaid bouquet stems. It’s actually giving me inspiration for what to do with my own DIY bouquet. Thanks!

I love how you wrapped the bridesmaid flowers. I agree maybe add a little white flower to the bouteniers. I wrapped all my flowers by myself too. I ordered fake ones online so they were all unwrapped when I got them. I just wrapped them up and pinned them. I figured their hand would be in the way so who cares. Mine came predone. You can always buy a buckle or fancy pin to hold it in place if you dont like the bow. If you want wrapping ideas if you dont like what you’ve done so far, check out this page. this is the site I got my flowers from but these are their wrapping options.

Great job! I really like your wrapping for the bridesmaids, and the boutonierres look great!
I’m DIYing my bouquets (haven’t started yet!), but I plan on wiring my bouquet together, covering the stems with a cardboard paper towel roll (cut to fit), and then wrapping the cardboard with the ribbon so that it’s more thicker, more uniform, and smoother under the ribbon.
Your arrangements look great!
