I have been asked to give away the bride. She is my Cousin-In-Law.
Whilst I am honored and will accept, I just don’t know what to say or go about it. She is separated from her family almost completely on religious grounds. My wife and I are still friends as we believe family is more important that religion. There are other relatives with a better ‘blood claim’ to the role who have not been asked.
Any advice on an acceptable ‘father of the bride’ speech that will allow me to stay away from the troublesome issues?
