Weddingbee boards

I am getting married in the same state (AL) but 4.5 hours south (gulf shores area) so sort of destination, huh? Well I am having a hard time knowing how to go about choosing an officiant. We are both Christians, but not super religious, we do not attend church regularly. However we both would like a religious ceremony, simple fairly traditional.

I was told to look into this one guy who tries to make it fun and personable and is a reverand too...he also had a script and videos of past weddings which I thought was great to sort of "interview" him...well ended up he was booked on my date. And the other preacher that my venue recommended has no video and says he does the traditional ceremony when I asked for a script...hmmm, I just feel unsure about all this, is it really that important how picky I am about the officant? I guess I just don't want a very monotone boring person that lulls my guests to sleep...but he was recommended...

thanks for the advice, I will definitely check with more vendors and those I know that have gotten married in the area! I can't believe I haven't done this yet :(
