Due to several reasons, Fiance and I are having a secret wedding before our “real” wedding. The plan is to go to Vegas next weekend. I’d like to do something simple, cheap and easy. I don’t want it to be a huge production, because I’m viewing this as just the paperwork and our wedding next year as our real wedding. We’re not exchanging rings, I’m not changing my name yet, etc. To avoid having to miss work, we’re doing Vegas instead of a courthouse ceremony.
Does anyone have any advice on where we should elope? No Elvis officiants 🙂

Vegas was the route that my Fiance and I were going to take also as our “secret” wedding. If you don’t plan to exchange rings and you can’t get in to do it the courthouse route, maybe you guys should just do the drive-thru????
It’s not an elvis theme and you aren’t having to pay a few hundred bucks to basically just sign papers… You aren’t doing any of the wedding “routine” at this time so why do anything more than a drive-thru wedding?
It is, after all, something simple, cheap and easy like you said.
(This one starts at $40 w/ your own car)
(Thats just an idea… I’ll let you do the investigating from this point)
I realize that a drive-thru wedding may sound a bit tacky to some BUT its Vegas and most of what they offer is tacky (Please, nobody get offended by my saying its tacky as I was planning a Vegas wedding too) but its simple, cheap and easy and thats why people do it.

Thanks so much! I’ll definitely look into it.

We are going through vivalasvegasweddings.com. They do have Elvis weddings but they also have plenty of other non-themed weddings. They have lots of packages to choose from. We got one with with limo service and a dvd included and all that but they have simpler packages too. Are you going this weekend or next? If it’s this weekend maybe I’ll see you there 😉

This place is on the south side of the strip and VERY cute 🙂
Las Vegas Wedding Chapels
This place is just a few blocks from the courthouse
This place is downtown, not far from the courthouse either.
