Le’t see, 45 days from Feb 26th is what, mid April? And you’re getting married in August? That IS plently of time but I agree the seller is being pretty shady about not answering you. I would be stressed too but try not to freak out too much!

I would give her another week or two then possibly cancel the order at the Mar 24 deadline.. Can you do that?

I thought it was 45 days for paypal? Maybe that was the ebay/paypal protection.

I’m so sorry you are going through with this, I would continue to try to contact her, and if you don’t get a response, I would cancel the transaction and go with another store.

Which store did you use on etsy? Did they have good reviews?

I haven’t purchased a whole lot of etsy because most of the items on there aren’t handmade [not counting clothing], and are just purchased elsewhere and resold.. so I just find where they are sold and skip the middle seller.

I did order my wooden engraved save the date hearts from etsy – I also didn’t get much communication from the seller, they were expected to ship in 14 days, and after 25 days still weren’t shipped. I ended up getting them at the 1 1/2 month mark, she never notified me they were shipped or anything. Overall, I was happy with my purchase but I did leave a review letting others know NOT to expect them shipped in 2 weeks, and that the seller didn’t communicate well.

Oh, if she took everything out of her shop, I would cancel now. That seems very shady.

Hozzelbear:  Yeah, I really hate to say it, but I think you’re getting shafted. I went to esty and search for natalicious – there are no shops with that name. Do you have any of the pictures she sent you of her work? I can do a reverse search and see if/where they were pulled from.

0 shops found for natalicious

Hozzelbear:  Well, someone stole someone’s photos, I don’t know if its the china place, or that etsy seller, but since the etsy seller was brand new, I’m going to lean that way. Are you paying more than the ad on ebay? If you are, she’s probably just ordering the dress and then marking it up. Honestly, if you really want that dress, I would cancel the order and order off ebay.. the seller has 100% feedback for, and even though there aren’t a BUNCH of reviews, 200+ is alot of wedding dress considering how long they take.

ETA : Plus you also have paypal and ebay protection.. don’t get your stuff, or it doesn’t look like the pictures and you’ll get your money back.

Hozzelbear:  It doesn’t look like etsy will do any good as you have to go through the seller to cancel.

You can only cancel your paypal payment if the money hasn’t been claimed yet, so you’d need to log into paypal and see if there’s an option to cancel.

I don’t know if you can get around the 24 day thing, maybe you can contact paypal directly and explain the situation : seller isn’t responding, has no reviews, you fear may have been taken advantage of, the seller has no reviews.. selling another item for 4x the price, ect ect.

I don’t know if it’ll work but it’s worth a shot.

If it doesnt, the only thing you can do is wait it out until the 24th and then open a dispute.

Hey hun,

I’m so sorry this has happened to you and can totally understand your panic/doubt!

You will be able to dispute it through your PayPal (I have done this before due to a dodgy seller on eBay) Once you open a claim they usually try to contact the seller, if they can’t and they’re pretty certain with your side of the story they will refund you the money. 🙂 So don’t stress! I would definitely report the seller in March as well once you’re able to!

Good luck hun! I wish you all the best, and on the bright side you will be able to get the same dress else wear if need be so not all hope is lost! 🙂 xx
