@kittywolf13:  okay so flying – wear comfortable clothes, and wear layers so you can adjust your temperature if you need to.  Pack essentials in your carry on, but no nail files, scissors or anything sharp 🙂

Keep yourself organized, have your ID ready and easy to get to, you’ll probably need to show it 3 or 4 times.  I try and bring as little as possible with me on the plane, my purse and a small carry on that has my essentials and a book.

As for warm…I wear dresses with tights/pantyhose in the winter all the time.  It’s pretty common for people to bring shoes in a bag and change out of boots into their pretty shoes when they get places.

Is the wedding outside or inside?  If it’s outside you’re going to want to see if your friend can hook you up with some warm clothes, if you’re just going from a car to the venue you’ll be fine 🙂

For exploring in the winter, you’ll need a warm coat, hopefully your friend can lend you one.
