I was hoping to get some advice on making my wedding dress.
I chose a dress that is actually an evening dress and want to make it into a wedding dress in invory. 🙂
The dress is actually available on several online china-stores…but with such horrifying tales about bad experience, I thought perhaps I should get a seamstress on Etsy to make it for me.
I found 2 seamstresses on Etsy that seems to know what they are doing…but I was wondering if anyone had used either of them.
One of them is Fay and her shop is “Panda and Shamrock”
Second one is by Susie and her shop is “Susiewear”
Or any advice in regards to Etsy seamstresses or recommendations would be a huge help.
Thank you so very much!!

Did either of you ladies use Susiewear or Panda Shamrock? I used panda for my gown but was using Susie for my bridesmaids. I’m a little nervous though. I’ve use etsy a lofb and love it but this is a big deal. I don’t want to get screwed.

Any follow-ups from other brides? I was looking into Susiewear for a wedding dress also. Thanks!

@TiaMarie32: How did your dress come out from Panda and Shamrock? I just ordered mine and am wondering how other brides liked theirs.

Do NOT go with Susiewear on etsy!! I’ve just done a post about my experience with her!! Please read and share it!

I know this thread is old, but this is information I have dug up about “Susiewear”
It is not a hand made gown you are ordering — She will resell you a pre-made factory dress from China:
I saw the other thread you commented on, and I’m pretty outspoken about Etsy when it comes to resellers and scam artists. Etsy won’t do a thing about them, because they’re profiting.
Anyway, this woman’s store is suspicious.

What this woman is doing is called reselling. It goes against Etsy’s policies but Etsy will not take action. This sort of behavior is unacceptable when someone is under the impression they are getting a hand tailored item when in reality they are getting an overpriced factory knockoff.
Research your sellers before you buy on Etsy. Every single last one.
