I think it looks great and I agree, I love your eyebrows the way they are naturally! Maybe a bit darker of a lip color? Love the hair!
I think it looks great, minus the eyebrows of course! I loveeee the eyes :) I think they did a great job- and you definitely want your make up staying on all day for your wedding and pictures
I think it looks really nice, but I cant definitely see how you'd feel like its too much if you dont normally wear make up. I dont think you need to change a thing, but maybe if they just lightened up the eyes a bit, it'd feel more natural?
I actually think the pictures of you without the eyebrows are gorgeous! Your eyes look amazing! The camera tends to tone down makeup a bit so it may look softer in your pictures than it actually does in person. However, if you are uncomfortable then you should definitely ask them to tone it down some. Maybe lighten up on the blush a bit? I think the 2nd to last picture looks really natural and not over done at all!
@theredhead: I agree I think the filled in eyebrows look good maybe just do a blonder/lighter color
I think it looks great! I agree not a huge fan of the eyebrows!
I really like the 'trial makeup' WITHOUT the brows...BUT you have to feel comfortable. I know how you feel in a way b/c I want to look LIKE me and natural (at least for photos prior to my reception)......Im planning on 'getting more dolled up for the evening). I really think that you should do whats most comfortable for u! Maybe like me, natural for ceremony and pics and then a bit more for reception? Whats your venue/theme like?
@kim14410: ok, so I think if YOU are not comfortable this is not the right look for you. My daughter did her trial run, and the make up artist was the one who did her make up for senior portraits, She was very careful to find out what she liked and didn't like...if she wanted fresh, smoky, etc. AND she had the option to do air brush make up. Absolutely loved loved it. My daughter looked "dewy" and she said she couldn't tell she had make up on, felt clean. So even tho the artists may come highly recommended, they may not be the ones for you. I think the eyebrows are nice, but a little too dark and the eyelashes are glamorous. Is that the look you were going for? If not, you need a different style eyelash.
I think you look really good. You actually look more like pic #1 in the trial pics than in pic # 2....Hope that made sense, haha!
I think you look really great (WITHOUT the brows- I agree and think they were a bit much), but if you aren't comfortable then you should go with what you want.
wow, those brows were something else! I think once you toned those down the trial looked great! But I can see what you mean by it feeling caked on... It looks like you had quite a bit of heavy foundation on, was it airbrush or hand applied? I think with a lighter application of foundation the whole look would be fabulous!
Okay, first off you are GORGEOUS! The way you did yourself up in the second picture, just wow. Even without makeup I said wow.
That being said, your hair looks fantastic. Seeing how I went to college for makeup, I have to be completely honest. The makeup is a little too heavy. I can see too much coverage/foundation (you don't need it) and the eyebrows were too dark. The eyes look good, but maybe they can do it in a little less dark colour. But otherwise, the actual job they did was good.
I think it looks perfect, and its not "too much" considering its your wedding day, and you're going to be photographed all day. You want something that's going to show up in the pictures and make you look done up more than every day. You have GORGEOUS eyes btw.
For the hair, I would do a looser curl.
@kim14410: I think you are GORGEOUS, a natural beauty and that the makeup application can actually be much less. I honestly do not think that their application of foundation did you any justice; it doesn't appear even and especially in the first photo, looks way lighter than your skin tone. I also think your eyes are so beautifully blue that so much liner and lashes are actually doing them a disservice rather than accentuating their color and brightness.
Your makeup artist needs to think soft, fresh, romantic. A blushing bride. A touch of color, gentle even light foundation, glistening gloss, thinner eyeliner application, and partial individual false lashes added exactly where you need them for a little drama.
Can you try a trial elsewhere for a different perspective?
@Lyndzo: aww thank you! I felt pretty that day (the second pic) I almost feel I could do my own makeup but feel i need alittle something special
@mrscheetos: THank you! The makeup certainly made my eyes pop more than usual :)
@o0olibelulao0o: hahaha i know the brows were WAY to much right?!
@kim14410: haha a bit much, it made you look like a porcelain doll! Your so pretty naturally I just don't think you need that much foundation... But I really liked the eyes! :)
have you thought about doing your own makeup? i think you look great in your "done up" photo and if that's naturally how you look and you are comfortable that way, maybe you should do it your self... you can always find 5 mins to touch up in the washroom if need be...
I do think you look great without the eyebrows too, but if your still not comfortable, i would dyi it. I am thinking about it cause I don't normally wear makeup cept for mascara...
I think you look amazing without the brows.. I think it's definitely wedding worthy makeup by my standards but you need to make YOU happy. :)
You look fabulous in the pics without the eyebrow makeup. I don't think it's overdone or too dark at all.
I agree with you about the eyebrows. It's the lashes that make you look/feel different. There are a lot of different lash shapes/thicknesses now...maybe try some that are thinner/shorter or just go along the outside corners of your eyes so that they still add a little something. The first time I wore lashes, they were full and heavy...appropriate for going out to a club, but not for your wedding! Definitely try and use false lashes though because they translate really well in photos. Good luck
I am def NEVER doing eyebrows again!!!! Unless they are the EXACT shade of my eyebrows! Also def taking the advice of smarller lashes.. although i do love that look... Possibly thinner black eyeliner? Maybe because the makeup was so soft and then the eyeliner was so bold it looked out of place.. ugh who knows what went wrong! I just didnt feel like me!
I LOVE the eyes, but I don't love the foundation. To me, it looks a little mismatched?
@farmgirlnfarmboy: I agree with this!
I think the eyebrows were needed to not have your features drown out with the amount of blush applied. However the pink blush used all over your face and on the nose is not the correct shade and makes it look too red and also makes the concealer stand out more.
(link removed due to self promotion policy) is my site if you want to scope my work and my blog just to get ideas. Take a look at what I do, see if you like it and if you can find someone like me where you are. Not being snippy at all, you just need to get a peach based blush to mask redness and to blend the concealer color. Also if you do not like brow pencil, make small dots in the brows and blend together with a toothbrush or just put some gel on them to cast a shadow and hold in place. Think about being camera ready and not how it looks in a mirror.
xxxooo Good luck! -Lo
I felt the SAME WAY after my makeup trial (complete with a photo taken in the car afterward!). I thought my makeup looked way too done up and as I complained about it to everyone who would listen, they kept telling me it looked really nice. You look beautiful in your non-pro-makeup photos because you are naturally pretty. And you look beautiful with the pro makeup because, again, you're naturally pretty. It's just a different look from what you are used to. I will say that your eyes look amazing in the pro makeup — they really pop and look so bright and blue! If you want to look more done up on your wedding day, the pro makeup looks great. (But maybe tone down the brows.)
Without the brows done, it looks SO much better and I really really like it! And your hair looks so pretty :)
For my taste (and yours by the sounds of it) it is a bit OTT. I think natural eyebrows, less eyeliner and a bit of a lighter hand on the shading and it will look far more like you :)
i feel like having a bit more makeup might only be "necessary" because of pictures. i too prefer a light and natural look daily but i have noticed that when i think i look extra done up it doesn't come across in photos. you have lovely skin and look great natural but i think that the makeup photos of you in the car look great. The eyebrows were terrible-glad you removed the makeup there-as I blonde I feel it is a very tricky task to fill in eyebrows and not look scary. Anyway, you look pretty in the photos and look like you just with a little extra oomph. If the makeup itself feels heavy and gross see if they can use something more lightweight. Also your hair looks fantastico.
Eyebrows that are darkened do wonders for giving a polished look. I see why you hated yours done. I hate when other people do my eyebrows too. They always go way to dark and they never look natural. You are suposed to use a pencil that is one or two shades lighter then the color of your eyebrow hairs. Then just use it to shadow the brow in so it looks natural. I lightly fill my brows in and it gives me a polished look. It's shouldn't look obvious that someone colored your brows in. I would go to the store and by a light brown pensil and practice doing it on your own. You might love the results. Hate the job that lady did. Although I do love the rest of your makeup.
Your hair is light, so a lighter brow looks much more natural for you.

So i went for my hair and make up trial today... And honestly.. i left so frustrated and upset.. I tried to be honest with them with what i wanted.. And yes they are VERY good and well respected makeup artists in my area but i just felt so done up.. I sent the pics to my sisters and while they thought the makeup looked nice they said it didnt look like me.. I need advice bc I want it to look natural and not caked on, but last all day and i do want to look a little more done up on my day.. i just felt like this was too much,.. Please give me your honest opinions on what i can do, and how i can feel better about putting so much makeup on my face that i almost wear no makeup daily.. i will attached some pics from today and then one at the end of how i normally do a more fancy look for me... and I will attach and every day pic of how i do my make up.. please girls i need advice as to how i can feel more natural with all that make up on!
