I wish I had some helpful advice, but I just don’t know. If you really ovulated around 17-19 days, then you really should be getting a positive test. HOWEVER, I do know that there are people who don’t get a positive test until further into their pregnancy. But, I also know you can have a “surge” without actually ovulating, in which case you might be in a late-ovulation or even anovulatory cycle.

What tests are you using?

Hm….yeah, without confirmation of a temperature surge, all the possibilities are still there. I hope you get it figured out soon, how very frustrating!

Try a test with a blue dye, I’ve heard they work a little better.  Or you could try the cheap test strips, a lot of bees order them online.  I think there’s still a very good chance you could be pregnant. Good luck!

@Lyndzo:  FYI – the blue dye tests are actually known for being more unreliable and causing a large number of false positives/evaps. Pink dye FRERs are probably your best bet πŸ™‚

Did you recently come off of birth control? Have anything else weird going on stress-wise etc.?  It would be unlikely that a FRER wouldn’t pick up your pregnancy hormones that long AFTER your period was due.  Not to be a downer but it sounds to me like you didn’t ovulate or your cycle is regulating… It isn’t impossible that you are pregnant but pretty unlikely.

It’s so stressful when you’re late and getting negatives! We’re not TTC yet but I’m slowly learning my cycles are kind of wonky and there have been a few times that I’ve been several days late and still getting negatives, and seeing the negatives doesn’t really convince me I’m not pregnant — I know your situation is opposite, but I think all you can do is wait, and keep testing! If you ovulated later on in your cycle then things could be a bit late, or (hopefully!!) there’s a baby coming your way and it’s just too soon to pick it up.

Do you know when you usually ovulate/how long your cycles usually are? That might help you figure out what’s up.

@jjmomma:  Just saw this…you really are in the same boat as me. Any news?? Im a day late now but my test from today is negative. Who am I kidding, the 2 tests I’ve done today are negative. My cycles also vary from 28-33 days!
