i actually am paying about 2k (maybe 100 or so more after taxes and all) for a photographer from LA to fly up and the package includes 10hrs of coverage, 2 photographers, a disc of the digital negativs, $100 print credit, and an engagement session (which i opted not to do and credited that towards any travel fees). i know it sounds like the roundabout way to do it, but i really liked her pictures: www.serenagrace.com

Carmen Alvarez is a local who will be shooting our wedding in September. She's affordable and fabulous! She has a basic package that falls in your range that includes a second shooter, all digital negatives and 6 hours of coverage.
