I’m from Southern Maine and I’m looking for some bridal shops (OTHER THAN David’s Bridal and Madeline’s Daughter) in these areas. Willing to travel anywhere in NH/ME, Boston/Worcester as far as I’m willing to go in MA. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!!

@EmieBee4: I don’t know how far it is for you, but there’s a shop called Church Street Bridal in Lynchburg, Virginia. It’s AMAZING! I follow their Facebook page and really regret not buying my dress from them. They purchase all of their dresses from Kleinfeld’s and other huge retailers and sell them for next to nothing. I often see Pnina Tornai’s and Monique Lhuilliers for under $1k on their Facebook page. Also, their profits also go to the YWCA, which is awesome.
You can also order via phone if you find a dress you HAVE to have. Just a suggestion. If I was anywhere on the East coast, I’d be there in a heart beat!

I think that VOWS in Waltham MA is getting popular as you can get designer gowns at affordable prices. I got mine from DB in Portland and was in love with it.

Vows is in Watertown, MA (they may have a store in Waltham too but I’m pretty sure that’s the only one.) And it is AWESOME. If you are looking for a discounted dress, look no further than Vows.

Try Andrea’s Bridal in Portland, ME – I found my dress there, and they had wonderful, no-pressure service and a great selection of dresses.

I got mine for Modern Bride in Bedford, NH….They were awesome, and they even remember me by name when I came back to order the dress.

Consider giving the Brides Against Breast Cancer sale a try. There’s one in Cambridge, MA in two weeks. They have quite a bit of inventory in a lot of sizes at pretty reasonable prices. I got a Maggie Sottero sample for $500 at the one I went to.
