I had a $50 budget too.  For one bridesmaid I purchased a set of toasting flutes since she’s getting married next year.  For another I purchased a Vera Bradley bag since she loves VB.  For my third I bought a digital photo frame since she loves taking photos.

@FutureChiBride:  I bought my bridesmaids jewelry sets off etsy ($25/each for necklace, earrings, and bracelet), I’m making them personalized hangers (2 sets of 5 hangers include one for my mom and one for FMIL was $12), and I’ll take little bridesmaids kits to hand out too 🙂 (I am also buying my sister (MOH) and cousin (MOH) small seperate gifts as well.  Got my cousin a custom made clutch…not sure what i’m getting my sister yet)

My budget was about $40 per girl (I spent an extra $20 on top of that on my MOH, though). I got them these really cute tumblers with straws (like the plastic reusable cups from starbucks if that makes sense). I also got them each a scarf with their initials monogrammed on it and a bottle of their favorite wine. And a nice handwritten thank you note :).

the wedding I was just in did personalized gifts for each girl…

I received a set of snowman Chirstmas ornaments (I collect snowmen), a photo book from the shower I hosted for the bride, and a beautiful home made(by the bride) haircomb for the wedding

other girls received, t-shirts, pashminas, hair pieces(all were different to fit our styles/personalities), candy, etc.

something I did for the bachelorette that would be good bridesmaid gifts are personalized wine glasses… I got them on Etsy. They have their initial and then polka dots in the wedding colors. the girls loved them!

@FutureChiBride:  my BFF looked at my etsy wish list and bought me a $35 locket I wanted. The seller ended up sending her a 20% off coupon so she got lockets for all the other girls too! I love it.

Christmas sales! I got really nice rings for each of the girls at Peoples last weekend (Zales is the US version I think?). $53 on sale from almost $90.

I am doing a bit more than $50, but I am getting thirty one totes  ($30) and filling them with cute things they would each want/like. The insides will be for each girl, although some things may be the same for all 4.

FYI: Thirty One is a brand of bag that is sold via in-home parties. They have adorable totes that I can get personalized for each girl and in a pattern that she will like.

@FutureChiBride:  Jewelry is usually a pretty safe option (though I’ve heard griping from fellow bridesmaids that they sometimes feel pressured to wear the gift during the wedding instead of their chose jewelry).

I have always liked getting scarves, which can easily double as shawls during the wedding reception if it gets cold.  Some brides have them monogrammed with the BMs initials.

I’m divorced, but for my first marriage I did bridesmaid “survival kits” (Tylenol, little sewing kit, hair ties, Tide stick, nail polish remover pads, etc.).  I put all of this in makeup bags from target (different one for each bridesmaid).  I also bought their earring and necklace sets. They were gorgeous pearls and super cheap (I think the site was YouPearl or something).  Spent a total of around $30 per bridesmaid for the jewelry and survival kits.
