Couples Swept Away in Jamaica is pretty reasonable and it’s all inclusive.  It is in the $3000 range.  Also, you could look into places in Florida or on the Gulf Coast.  Are you going in the summer?  You could rent a house in the Outer Banks too.

The summer is the “off-season” for the caribbean so destinations are typically less expensive. Riviera Maya and Jamaica seem to be more affordable options. Both are beautiful locations and you can find hotels in really any price range at either.

Vietnam. Getting there is expensive, but once you’re there things are cheap. It’s hot there and there are some nice beaches. The food is fantastic and the people are super hospitable.

We went to Puerto Rico in 2012 and it was inexpensive compared to the Bahamas. I have heard that Jamaica is reasonable too but it’s not as pretty and has alot more crime than Puerto Rico.

We’re going to an all-inclusive resort in Puerto Vallarta for 2600 with flights for 6 nights. We could have easily spent 1600 if we really wanted to, but this place had way better looking stuff.

@Mrs_BunInTheOven:  DH and I have been to resorts in Mayan Riviera and Punta Cana, DR, both of which we loved, and highly recommend. We go around December tho, so a different time of year than you are looking for.

We stayed at the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya, cost was about $900 p/p for a week all inclusive, though I think we got a pretty amazing deal because I haven’t seen it that cheap since (it usually averages $1200 p/p).

We stayed at the Sanctuary Cap Cana in Punta Cana for our honeymoon, cost was about $1650 p/p.

@Mrs_BunInTheOven:  If you can wait until September hotel prices at beaches in Florida tend to drop significantly.  Nice hotels on Daytona Beach can be booked for under $80 per night and it’s still plenty hot enough to enjoy the beach.  Flights should also drop significantly because it’s the low season here.

July is “off season” in Caribbean… so cheap for sure.

BUT Hurricane Season in the Atlantic… and the HOTTEST time of year… infact I’m not a fan of going below the Carolinas come July & August cause it is soooo damn hot & humid (very uncomfortable)

July & August are the warmest months for all of Continental North America… so you could easily go anywhere !!

Your WBee Profile says home base is Toronto… so you might find some great deals heading east to Maritimes… or you could drive (count on 2 Days down tho and 2 Days back).

Otherwise, look to Porter, WestJet or Air Canada for connections to maybe somewhere like Myrtle Beach SC… GORGEOUS Beach, and not a terribly expensive Destination (lots of options for Hotels, Condos, Rentals etc)… or you could drive to the East Coast of the USA… great Beaches to be found from Maine on thru to the Myrtle Beach area.  Again about 2 Days Down and Back from Toronto

Hope this helps,

@Baroness_Meg:  We were looking to go away at that same time, and leaving from the same destination (Ontario). Good to know you got a great price. Out of curiousity, was it at the beginning of December or the end?

We are going to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for a little under $3,000 including the flight and all-inclusive resort. The beaches are beautiful and honeymoons in the Dominican Republic are pretty affordable.

Groupon periodically has all inclusive vacations for pretty cheap. We were looking at a week in the Dominican Republic, all inclusive, WITH AIRFARE for $800 per person. Go through ebates and get another 3% cash back.

Mayan Riviera in Mexico is awesome for nice all-inclusives, and they aren’t priced badly either. Especially if you were open for waiting for a last minute deal.
