can you design something or have someone design something for you?

my graphic designer bridesmaid designed my invitations and i used vistaprint to print them.  i ordered so much stuff.  it was priced around $1000 in stores, but i got it for under $300 using vistaprint.

I used vista print and was very happy. They have a lot of their own designs or you can upload your own. Customer service was excellent. They made any changes I asked for. Best part.. $170 for 125 invitations (includes rsvp and information card, envelopes, and address stickers with same design). There are different paper options to choose from. I ordered a sample kit to see what I liked best. I thought it was a great deal and they looked good! You would have no problem getting something under your budget.

@beekiss:  Vistaprint.  I was able to purchase 50 STDs and 80 invitations for $27 using the $70 for $17 Groupon.

Plus, we are doing online RSVPs at our website on mywedding.com to save the money on RSVP cards and stamps.

I designed our invitations, and had them printed through Catprint. For 50 sets (including RSVP, information card, Map&Directions, and reception card) it came in just over $100 with shipping. If you only need 15, that would bring you in under budget… and unlike Vistaprint where you have to get a minimum of 25, or 50, or 100, etc., there is no minimum amount with Catprint.

@beekiss:  DIY would be my recommendation, but it depends on how intricate you want your invites.  I made these for about $2 each (top one is mine, lower one is a mock-up I’m making for a friend).  I printed these on my canon pixma at home.

@beekiss:  I second or third or whatever Vista Print and Groupon for your invitations. Definitely upgrade the paper though and make sure the font is big enough. I didn’t double check the font and it came out font size 10. So tiny. All and all, I ended up spending around $50 for 30 invitations, 30 response cards, and 50 thank you cards.

Have you looked through the selection of invitations on wedding chicks? they have a great selection of really cute invites. You can either print them out yourself or get them printed through vistaprint
