@eupelia: Have you had any luck finding a photographer? One thing to try is posting a "wanted" ad on Craigslist. There might be some up-and-coming photographers who still need to build their portfolio, and would be willing to take you up on the offer.
If you still can't find anyone, let me know. I do photography on the side as a hobby (I currently run a stationery business), and do all of my product photography for my website and Etsy shop. I own 2 professional grade cameras (Nikon D50 and D3000) and have done engagement photos, but never a wedding. But I'd be willing to help if you can't find anyone else!
I'll second Craiglist.
Our wedding is near Cincinnati, but I looked at the Indy Craigslist for photographers. Although we ended up going with someone else, I really liked Summerly Photography. Her prices are very reasonable and I think the pictures are great.
(Just to be clear - I don't know Summer and haven't used her for anything. I just found her on Craigslist and think she's talented!)

i am using summer yates! i live in ft wayne and my wedding isnt until may 2011... she is a little more than 500 but her pictures look like they are well worth the extra! shes been great to work with so far :) i would def try craigslist like the others suggested. thats where i found summer :)
@ Ms Tangerine: I would love to branch out soon to do some photography on the side & was hoping to find someone to pair up with. Have you done any engagement / senior / baby photo shoots?
We are looking for a good, but affordable photographer in Indianapolis as well, and two different vendors we considered were Stacy Newgent and Hannah Schopmeyer. Stacy's website is http://www.theinterloper.net/ and Hannah's is http://www.hannahsphotography.com/. Hannah is new to the area and so is charging less than her usual price (we found her on Craigslist). Stacy just introduced a reduced package - less photo time for a lower price, but her photos are amazing and I think totally worth the abbreviated time for the quality. She was also very amendable to working with our budget - which I can also say about Hannah.
We booked with a jcs photography. She is 495.00 for 6 hrs and 100 dollars for each extra hour. You get all the rights to your pictures. We met with her and saw her work and its great. She has a degree in photography and has been a photgrapher for years but she is just starting out in wedding photography which is why she is so cheap. She has only done about 15 weddings so far. We are looking for an affordable photographer who will charge like $500 max to photograph our wedding and will give us rights to our pictures. We cannot afford to have them printed professionally or to pay the rights fees they're trying to charge at most photography studios.
