Hi fellow Bees,
I am recently engaged and am trying to scrounge around on the internet to find an affordable reception venue that allows outside catering since I would love to have an In-n-Out truck. I would prefer a location in Orange County, where I live, but am open to Los Angeles, South Bay and San Gabriel Valley as well. One option I have already considered is the Diamond Bar Community Center but since I have already been to a few weddings that were held there, I am hoping to find somewhere different. My total wedding budget at this point is between 10k-12k and I am open to having the wedding during off-season and off-times like a Friday evening or Saturday afternoon.
Thanks for all your help!

I’m from that area also. Before deciding on a back yard wedding I was looking into the Clark Estate in Santa Fe Springs. If I remember correctly you can bring your own catering.
They are also very affordable! Esp. with your budget.

I don’t know that area very well, but one trick I’ve learned is to call a few popular wedding florists in the area and ask them for ideas on good venues. Many of them will have worked all over (and telling them you still need a florist will make them more helpful too!)

My friend is getting married at The Mission Viejo Community Center outdoors. It’s gorgeous and she’s bringing in food trucks!

Are you looking for an indoor venue, outdoor, or both?

I am having my wedding reception at the Laguna Hills Community Center. My Fiance and I are on a budget so we looked at community centers because they allow you to bring in all your own vendors and are usually really resonable pricing. Other community centers I would recommend are Mission Viejo Community Center (books up FAST) and Rancho Santa Margarita Community Center (Careful they are going to be under construction next year though). Laguna Hills Comunity Center is BEAUTIFUL, it looks like a hotel ballroom inside and your event will be the only event of the day.

Check out Dove Canyon Courtyard. It’s a beautiful outdoor venue that allows outside catering and alcohol. During the fall/winter months they set up a gorgeous white tent with organza and crystal chandalier for the event for no additional cost. It’s very romantic and beautiful for an intimate setting. Only downside is you have to end your event by 10pm. Just have to start early!!!
