Has anyone found affordable robes for bridesmaids? I love the pictures of all the girls getting ready in robes. We are getting ready in a hotel room, so I thought this would be a good idea. But everything is either really bulky or really pricey. Thanks!

Have you thought about making them? It’s a super simple pattern, so even if you don’t sew, it wouldn’t be hard. I am making the robes for my bridesmaids because I couldn’t get exactly what I wanted within my budget. For 5 satin robes, fabric was about $100, and I was able to get the satin in my colors. Just an idea!

Try H&M I just purchased a few silk robes on sale for $7 each but they normally have them for $14!

Thanks you guys! I don’t have a sewing machine, so I think that would end up costing more than huying them. I will look at H&M though.

Not sure but just a word of caution- I would try to get either silk or cotton. I know many people, myself included, who just don’t like the polyester fuzzy robes, which are really prevelant in stores nowadays

@jackndiane: Yeah, I’m trying to avoid those. That’s why I’ve had such a hard time finding them.

Cotton kimonos are pretty easy to find, and they’d look so cool in wedding photos!
The ones below are pretty expensive, but I’m sure you can create the same effect with something you find online:

My cousin purchased black ones for the Bridesmaid or Best Man and a white one for herself at Macy’s. They are silk (feeling, probably not in material) and they are very comfortable. I believe the price tag said $29.99 plus you can likely get some type of discount with all their sales. If you PM me later I can perhaps check the brand on the tag if interested.
She also added our initials in crystals which cost a few bucks a piece in materials.
