I'd look into Tina & Dollie. They work out of Tina's home (in Chicago) and do lovely flowers. I got a price quote for a few items I wanted, and from the quote they gave me, your needs should be around $350 give or take. It all depends on the time of year and the types of flowers you want to go with. (I wanted roses, phaleonopsis orchids, peonies and possibly oriental poppies.)
If you're interested, their number is 773.583.1994 and their email address is bloomstinadollie@aol.com. They were voted Best of Knot Weddings 2007. Their website is currently under construction but here is the address anyway www.bloomsbytinaanddollie.com.
Thanks Peony and Ladysu! I forgot to mention the FIL and FOB boutonnieres.
$350 sounds very good, Peony! I'm guessing that summer is cheaper than winter? I'm a teacher so our wedding will be either over Winter Break, Spring Break, or summer. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Actually, I'm not sure about the price difference between summer and winter weddings for flowers. I do know that some flowers are virtually impossible to get during the winter months, so I suppose its a matter of what choice of flowers you can get during the particular season.
Here is a price breakdown per item so you can see where I got the $350 amount. (Disclaimer: These prices are based on the particular arrangements I discussed with them. Your quote may be different so please keep that in mind!) :)
Bride's bouquet - $185-$200
MOH bouquet - $65 apiece (I told them I wanted a smaller arrangements for my maids)
MIL and MOB corsages - $18 apiece
Groom's Bout and Groomsman's bouts - $9 apiece
I assumed you had one maid of honor and one best man, but you can add on prices depending on how many more items you need.
Try Linda at Miller's. She gave us an AMAZING quote. I have 30 tables, 8 bridesmaids, 8 groomsmen, 2 flower girls, and 2 ring bearers -- for all that plus the MOB, MOG and ceremony decorations it was $1700 for peonies!! So you can imagine I need a lot of flowers!! Her email is millersflorist1@aol.com.
Hi All!
I'm considering going withsilk flowers for my very small wedding- I only need the following:
-my bouquet
-MOH bouquet
-MIL and MOB corsage
-Groom boutonnierre
-Groomsman's boutonnierre
What would be a reasonable price for FRESH flowers for the above? (Chicago burbs would be great!)
Thanks!
posted by catsmeow 26 posts 2 months agoFor me - I did the same
my bouquet
MOH & BM bouquets
MIL & MOB corsages
FIL & FOB boutonnierre
Groom & groomsmen's boutonnierre
My price limit was $500 for all of the above
and I went with Crystal Flower Shop in LaGrange, IL
Here is their website: http://www.crystalflowershop.com/ and I also yelped about them, as well.
