11 months to go… I know I’m supposed to send out invites at least 10 months before. I feel like I’ve hit a wall for wedding invitations. I really do not want to have two different kinds of invitation card (“Chinese-style” and “Western-style”, as my parents would put it). Even my Pinterest board for invitation cards is pathetically sparse.
In the former culture, certain colours portray colours for funeral; i.e. no black, no blue; etc. I just don’t know if teal, yellow or pink would offend any of my Chinese family/friends. Asking a few of my elders didn’t quite help as they are accustomed to getting invitation cards as a part of their wedding venue packages in Asia.
Is there any open-sourced software that we could use to design our own templates? I could draw/paint/write Chinese brush calligraphy/do some minor image editing on PC, but am not a big fan of scrapbooking. The last time I made a card (from manilla paper, using exacto-knife) was more than 15 years ago!
For those who did send out Chinese invites, could you kindly please post a picture of the format/style?
Heaps of thanks in advance!
