FI is in downtown Chicago today, and he said he saw a couple with our colors! I also have seen a couple on Facebook. Our colors are purple & green, and when I picked them, I thought they were pretty original! Nothing against more conventional combos, because they are popular for a reason, but I am a little disappointed to know that some our guests will have already seen similar decor.

    Anyone also feel like this?

I went with the super common, light pink, black, and ivory (well white is more common, but same difference). I didn't care though because I love the color combo.  Love it! and it looked amazing! It's what I like and it doesn't matter to me if other people have it (which they certainly have lol) Makes its easier to get ideas ;) I still think your colors are unique. There are only so many colors in the world though (red is still red, even if they're calling it apple or something lame), and only certain combinations that will look right together. Sure you could have something really unique, but the combo might remind people of vomit!

Our colors were moss green, chocolate brown, and lavender.  I thought they were totally unique, but during wedding planning, I probably found 10 weddings with the same colors.  Don't worry though, you'll still be able to find lots of ways to make your day unique.  I doubt there's any color scheme out there that hasn't been used before.

Too funny - I am chartreuse green, chocolate brown, and lavender.  I thought it was fairly original too until I went to a wedding last month where the colors were SO close - you could barely tell the difference between the BM dress at that wedding and the one I've picked out (and already purchased) for my BM's.  I feel a little funny that that bride is invited to our wedding (and will probably attend), I'm afraid she'll think I copied her!

I went with champagne and blush....i haven't seen them together necessarily, but i see them elsewhere a lot. I doubt our guests have really seen another champagne/champagne pink wedding though. The bright colors are still in but not necessarily in unique combinations it seems. Also, mos tof the people we know have a fall wedding, so we're safe!

But i hear ya. I was so excited about my tank-style cocktail bridesmaid dresses that my mom made, and it turns out that champagne pink dresses are SUDDENLY in. Boo. I was ahead of the trend 10 months ago at least!!! And I'm seeing the tank dresses with sashes everywhere too. Somebody figured it out that they're flattering! ha.

    Oooh, I love champagne pink!!!!!!

If I go with Sapphire blue ... not sure which other color ...

Actually .. EJS ... I might "borrow"  your champagne pink ... *runs* Lol.

Would it go with my sisters blue dress... which has become my first wedding color ... besides my white dress.

I used to think using purple as our main color was sooo original, feminine but not frou-frou. Let me tell you, I've seen plenty of purpley weddings lately! Also wedding planning is a lot like making movies- the hardest part is planning something that won't been seen for another 1-2 years and gauging what will be current then.

I agree, there simply can't possibly be a wedding color combo that hasn't been done before.

That said, your wedding *will* be completely unique! We're going with navy blue and light pink, because they're not only great colors but they work well with our venue. Clearly I'm not being original here, but no one's going to care.  :)

hey that’s funny those are our colors.. too!! We didn’t really pick them because we saw them anywhere but because they are mine and my FI favorites.

I've found more couples that have done it before but I'm not worried because It's all about how you incorporate them to your own wedding, i don’t think there’s colors combos out there that are "unique" any more, but every wedding is unique.

I don’t think you have to go crazy color combo hunting to be original, your wedding is yours only so UNIQUE and ORIGINAL!

Our colors are bright pink, purple, white, with a touch of green.  I also have some brown that will be incorporated with the chopsticks I'll be giving away as favors with possibly some bamboo brown chairs.  Quite honestly, I thought it would be too bright but after putting it against the beige linens and walls, it adds a dimension of color we need.  I've seen the typical white rose centerpieces in pictures and they don't photographer well according to a photographer we went to visit.  She said the more color the better and I agree.

My colors are Chocolate brown and Lilac and I cannot find anything with those colors! (ribbon ect)Everything I find is brown and blue, or brown and pink.

Makes me feel good that its not real common

i think colors combined with style adds so much dimension! just think of pink black and white- wimsical it would be sooo different from modern or posh vintage, even more different that two weddings that were both say modern and different colors. In the end, don't forget your wedding isn't supposed to be 100% different, it is a tradition!
