I know you said your natural curls don't look right, but when I'm always in doubt, an afro puff works and you could use a pretty headband or hair comb.
My best advice would be to press it and have it in an updo. That or a weave or twists/braids. Since it's so hot, it's probably going to swell/sweat out...

John Frieda weather works seals in the style and really resists humidity. Also, Sally Beauty Supply sells a product called Hask Straight solution and it is amazing. I used to be a cheerleader an it would keep my hair de-poofed for the whole game. It doesn't smell amazing though, but it dries to not smell at all.
Hey Doll,
I'm natural too and had my beach wedding last weekend in hot as hell Jamaica :) I used this stuff called Bouncy Cream by ISO and I LOVED it! My hair held up against the heat and humidity.
You can find it at Ulta. I just posted a sneak peak, and I hopefully will have better pics soon.
Thanks for this thread. I am currently growing out my relaxer and will be cutting off the relaxed hair soon. Good info, ladies.

We're having a beach wedding, but our wedding planner told me that it gets foggy during June, which is bad news for my hair. I'm natural but I wear my hair flat-ironed/pressed. I need some hairstyle ideas, tips, products, or anything that can stand the humidity! My natural curls do not look right..I've already tried that lol. Here's what I look like with my straight hair.. It's alittle past my shoulders in the front, and a little longer in the back.
