Weddingbee boards

I wrote a post here more than 5 months ago, as we picked out a ring and it was hidden in the drawer next to his bed. (Yes, I know where it is, but I was very good at NOT taking a peek AT ALL)

After hinting for ages, he finally decided to propose on the 11/11/11!

We were at our favourite little French restaurant, and just after the 2 courses, our dessert came up. All I saw was the ring standing in my creme brulee! I couldn't believe my eyes!!

The creme brulee sat in front of my eye, he got up, picked up the ring, and got down on his knees and asked me to marry him!

Actually I didn't hear that part, I just kept staring at the ring and he put it on my finger slowly while muttering "Well I guess that's a yes...?!"

The waiter immediately came out with 2 glasses of French champagne (which I regretably could not finish, *sob* ) and congratulated us.

It wasn't until almost the end of our dessert that he said I never answered his question. I asked what question it was, and he said he asked me "will you marry me?" but I never answered back! I honestly did not hear him (he was probably too quiet) and we bickered for a while after that, when he said I didn't answer him and I said I didn't hear him!

So that's our engagement story, and of course, here's the Tolkowsky-cut heart diamond! (D coloured, VVS2 and 0.31C)
