Hey ladies. I posted a similar blog on the "dress" board but I wanted to put a special post up on this board. I had a similar problem that many of us have dress shopping. The samples were too small to try on comfortably. I am a size 12/14. Even with the frustration I fell in love with this dress and ordered it despite the bridal size 6 sample. I was totally nervous that it wouldn't look good on a "curvy" girl and it wouldn't fit. My worries are over. My bridal consultant did an amazing job at picking the right size for me and it fit perfectly. Ladies order the dress you love and don't settle. Find a wonderful bridal consultant that will help you accentuate those curves that our fiances love.

You look BEAUTIFUL!!! That is a goooooorgeous dress!!!! Your leap of faith definitely worked out in your favor. Congrats!
Yes... I commented on the other post but I wanted to agree, what a great leap of faith! Looks great on you. Oh also, in your other post you were thinking about veils and another one that would work (besides the mantilla or birdcage) is one of those super-sheer long drop veils... that way you could see the dress through it; you'd get the long veil look without obscuring any details on your great dress.
That dress is so glam! And it looks fantastic on you! What a great style and detailing!

Thank you ladies so much for the kind words. I couldn't wait to share it with you all. I have read so many posts on this board about girls getting frustrated by sample sizes and I wanted to make those ladies feel hopeful about getting a designer dress in their size. You don't have to settle!

I also ordered my dress after holding it up to myself in the mirror. It's a silly way to try on a gown but when you are plus-sized you don't really have any other option!

very nice..I had the same problem..its so frustrating that sample sizes come so small. I'm a 14/16. I'm glad you didn't settle. it looks lovely on you...
the dress looks awesome...I'm so glad it worked out for you. I kind of did the same thing except they didnt have a dress for me to hold up. LOL!! Here's hoping that it works for me too! XXCrossing fingersXX

I think it'd look even lovelier to maybe get a ribbon a la Mrs Cowboy Boot - you have a great figure, that'd look really flattering on you.

That's so great! Makes me excited to get my dress in cause I did the same thing!! I'm a street size 14/16 and had to order my dress without getting to ever try it on... I hope my experience turns out as amazing as yours has.. you look gorgeous!
