(Closed) After Party – what are you doing?

Our ceremony is at 5, with a sit down dinner reception after.  Fiance and myself are not big dancers, or drinkers so we reserved a few lanes at the local bowling alley for an afterparty.  The lanes were only like $12 each all night and alcohol is availible for those who wish to purchase it!

Our venue has a bar downstairs that is open till 3am!  If I still have energy, I know my friends will, we will head down there for a nightcap or two.  And since its a bar we don’t have to pay for everyone’s drinks!

our reception will be over at midnight and we reserved a conference room at the hotel until 2. They are letting us have it for free and we can bring in food/drinks as long we clean up after ourselves.

Our younger family and friends are pretty big partiers and will be ready to keep going when our reception is done at 1.  We have booked a suite at the hotel where the block of rooms are booked.

We are ordering in pizza, wings and nachos and having beer + a basic bar.

@bfisher: That’s an awesome idea!

We’re having a Sunday wedding, which will be over by 9 for those who need to get to bed early for work. It’s conceivable that some people may be up for an after party, in which case, we’ll probably just head back to our place, since it’s ten minutes from the venue and we have a well stocked liquor cabinet. 😉

As long as we can kick people out at a reasonable time to get some sleep before we leave for our minimoon, I’m all for it.

We’re having an evening reception, but we’re having a party the next day at a friend’s house who has a pool. We’re bringing the left over food and alcohol over there and chilling by the pool.

We are having a semi destination wedding, so we are renting a house near by. It has a pool and a big back yard so we are having everyone back to the house after the reception. We told people if they want to drink and not have to drive home to bring a tent! that way everyone can party, crash and wake up to brunch by the pool the next morning!

We’re having an evening reception that will end around midnight. After that, everyone who wants to keep partying can join us at the Big Bang Dueling Piano Bar, which is in the fun downtown district where all kinds of bars are (and the hotels, natch).  I’m pretty sure I’m still going to be in my dress, but that’s still TBD.
