My maternity clothes! I just bought the cheapest boyshort underwear I could find from Walmart in a larger size than normal.

Keekers:  Yeah, I had a lot of maternity tanks that showed off the tummy.  I’m thinking I was lucky I had my baby in early April and could get away with still wearing my oversized cardigans over them the first few weeks.  I’m still wearing my maternity tanks because they work great for nursing (they’re not nursing specific).  But I definitely wore my maternity jeans until I could fit back into mine.  I’d probably look for a few dresses while it’s still warm.  I bet any dress with a higher waist with some flow would look good and concealing everything while you lose weight.

Keekers:  No kids for me (yet) but have you ever tried Jag Jeans? They are amazing!!! They are basically similar to maternity jeans, but without the “panel”. They have a flat front w/ no button or zipper which is awesome because you don’t get that “shirt buldge” from a button. My friends and I love them!!

Keekers:  We have a couple of boutiques locally to me that sell them (which is how I first found out about them), but you can buy them online directly from the website at jagjeans.com. Also, I usually buy mine at 6pm.com because they are WAY cheaper. They don’t always have all the styles on there, but they have a lot.

My personal favorite is the Paley Bootcut & Malia Slim. I have both regular jeans and a super cute pair of white skinny jeans. I also have a denim skirt, some shorts, and a pair of capri pants. They rock!

I had to go back to work.  I wore a lot of travelers knit from Chico’s.  Just in a size bigger than usual.

I bought pants that fit – and they were a variety of different sizes – jeans, skinnies, slim cords, belts (because of muffin top), and shirts that were very forgiving in the belly area – not necessarily baggy, but looser fitting around the belly.  I tailored everything that needed to be nipped in a bit. I didn’t focus on size, just on fit. Oh and also I bought a pair of really cool boots to help me feel more like hip mom than frumpy mom. It’s depressing to try stuff on postpartum, but I just kept telling myself that it was important to dress the body I have, not the one I want.

thank you for this thread. i will be in this boat in at least 3 weeks (due on sunday). i was planning to wear maternity clothes until i have to go back to work and depending on how my body looks and how it’s changed, i plan to buy larger sizes, i guess, until i feel comfortable in my old clothes.  i really don’t know.

MsKeee:  i like this. i will probably go on a mini-autumn shopping spree and get some cute boots or something to make me feel like a sexy woman again (no more flip flops for my swollen feet!).
