I would love to save it for my daughter to wear one day. But I know our fashion, body types ect.. will more than likely will be comletely differant.

I want to make it into something new, perhaps some lingere, a nightgown, or even a blanket or pillowcase.  Mine has a lot of really beautiful lace so I think I’ll save some of that for my daughter to incorporate into her wedding if she wants.  I like the idea of repurposing it because you ge to still have it, but it isn’t just taking up space in your house collecting dust.

I’m saving mine. When I went through first communion, my mom made my dress out of my grandmother’s wedding dress and it means a lot to me. She has also been making embroidered pillows for the grandparents and my aunts/uncles for special wedding aniversaries.

I know my potential daughter won’t want to wear my dress, but maybe some day my granddaughter will be able to wear part of it for something special.

@renwoman:  I cut mine up and I’m using it for crafts, then converting the top part into a little cocktail dress.

    I plan on selling mine…

I cannot see wearing it again and I don’t think I can convert it into a short dress…

I hope someone else will be able to enjoy it……

@renwoman:  I’d really like to get some friends together for a photo session with all of us re-wearing our dresses.  Then someday, I’d like to use it to make something for my daughter or granddaughter’s wedding, much the same way I’d like to add a bit of my mom’s dress to my attire somehow.

@housebee:  LOL – I wanted to “like” your comment. I got to try mine on for the 1st time last night (eeeeeee!!!!) and was asked this very same question. You basically gave my answere.

    Yay for Lace Dresses!

I’m very seriously contemplating making curtains out of mine lol. I have ordered Enzoani grace and I think the soft tulle with lace would make very adorable sheers.  If I did that I would probably try to save enough to make a baptismal gown for any future children we may or may not have.

I got it preserved, I’m too attached to it.  I’m usually not a hoarder so this was my one free pass 😛

Hopefully I have a future daughter who will wear it, it is a beautiful gown.

I’m going to be framing mine! DH is getting some custom cut glass and building a frame and we’re going to do this.

We love love this idea for framing your wedding dress! We first saw Adrienne Maloof’s framed wedding dress on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and then the framed wedding dress above started floating around Pinterest.

@renwoman:  TTD shoot in Jamaica. I don’t believe in dust collectors.
