- Wedding: August 2013 - Genetti's in Dickson City, PA
Well, it’s been a little over one month since our wonderful night. . . The thank you cards are almost done (waiting on a photo from the photographer. . . super impatient!), presents are put away, returns are made, gift cards are spent, . . . and I find myself completely and utterly bored! I’m not looking up wedding stuff, no more tutorials, no more how-tos, no more ideas and pinning items and messaging other brides and following blogs and . . . I can finally watch movies that we’ve rented and actually devote my full attention to them! I don’t have any good excuses why honey should be the one to clean because I’m-busy-with-wedding-details-dear, etc. etc. etc. Wahhhh! For all the stress, crazy, and hectic that comes with it, I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but I MISS IT!
Now I’m left with trying to sell off the parts of my wedding that came together to make it all so special. I’m auctioning off pieces at a time, watching it all slip away as fast as it seemed to dawn on us. . .
I once read an article in Cosmo about this very thing, that new brides often go through a “what-do-I-do-now” phase, and I’m totally and completely stuck in it. Darnit for not cutting out that magazine article!
Anyoen else out there stuck in this phase?
