Good for you! I have definitely noticed in my own relationships that it is ALWAYS better to talk things out than let it fester. Even when you dread the conversation, the feeling of relief afterward is worth it.
I'm glad you two came out stronger for the experience!

because I think this is a good thing for everyone to keep these types of thoughts in mind while they are stressed/planning...
5 minutes after our first fight (which ended up not really being a fight because he agrees with my point of view but that doesn't change that he has to do something I disagree with), I sent him this text:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Mr G, I'm not going to lie about how I feel, ever but also remember that people get upset. But real, strong love like ours kicks "upset"'s ass in the long run...
No matter what, Mr. G, I love you and I will stand by your side forever. I promised you that when I said yes. We may get upset with each other or have issues but as long as we talk them through and compromise or at least agree to disagree, we'll be fine.
We agree on the major things. Everything else, we'll take as it comes.When I'm walking down the aisle in 2 years or so to become your wife, neither of us will care about this topic. "
Just felt like sharing because I feel a zillion percent better after talking to him.
