I'm curious. What do you all do (and SO) for a living? What are your ages?
I'm 25 turning 26 next month. I'm an English language teacher at the college/university level. My BF is an IT/managed services guy (his gifts are always "pricey"...darn Apple products!). He's 28.
FI and I are both 24 and will be 25 in March (he's 2 weeks and 1 day older than me). I'm an auditor and he's a software developer/co-owner of an independent mac and iPhone development firm.
@mireisen: I'm 26, and a (second & final year!) graduate student getting my masters in social work. Most of my work previously (and currently) relates to violence against women. My internship right now is as a therapist for incarcerated violent male offenders. When I graduate this spring I'll be trying to get a job as a therapist for a community mental health agency.
My parter is 28 and in his second year of medical school. He plans on going into pediatrics / primary care.
I'm almost 24 (end of the month!) and am finishing pharmacy school. (Ok, I'm on year 6 of 7... I still have a bit left, but I'm definitely over the hard parts!). I'm planning on completing a one year residency and obtaining a Master's of Publich Health degree. I'm hoping to work on community based heatlh programs and teach at a pharmacy school when I'm done.
My husband is 24 and works in the IT field. He works for a growing, local company and his job is constantly evolving - which he loves.
He'll be 23 in February, I'll be 23 in March. Right now I'm a counselor at a group home for adolescents and he's a full time student with a part time job at K-mart but will be an electrical engineer after he graduates. Wherever he finds a job I'll probably try to look into ABA therapy training/graduate programs/jobs.
I'm 22 and I'm a full time grad student (I have a degree in psych & criminology). I also work part time as a Social Media coordinator for a college within a big university. My DH is 23 (24 in March) and he has had a rough time finding a job here in Miami, so he's working full time as a server at PF Changs while looking for a career type job (he has a degree in journalism).
I am 28 and a high school english teacher.
My sweet fiance is 45 and a newspaper editor..
We are 17 years apart!! This is not a big deal to us, but it seems to be for other people. I get really tired of hearing, "Just how old ARE you?!!?"
But I digress..
I love my sweet future hubby!
@soonerpsych: I have a degree in psychology and criminology too! I've never met anyone with the exact same major.
He is 27 and works in health and safety at a manufacturing facility. I am 31 and am the head of the demand planning dept. for a consumer products company.
I'm 23 and an accountant. My husband is 24 and an engineer.
@mandb122: Oh that's awesome! One of my BM's has the same degree too. She's working on getting into grad school right now for criminal justice administration. I'm studying criminal justice with plans to get a PhD in forensic psych.
@soonerpsych: Right now I'm a counselor at a group home. I originally was going to go into forensic psychology and still might one day but once FI gets a job and we figure out where we're staying, I want to explore more of the psychology aspect of my degree. I'm thinking ABA therapy right now possibly to work with kids with autism but I'm still unsure where I'll end up.
I'm 25, almost 26 and a high school English/Special Education teacher and SO is 26 and works for the Philadelphia Eagles. :) Sometimes we're on different schedules, but the perks are awesome!!
I'm 30 (31 in a week), getting my Ph.D. in history. That's what my 33-year-old FI was doing too, but it wasn't for him. So now he's trying to figure out what to do with his life, and doing some freelance copyediting in the meantime.
I just turned 28 in November and I'm in Airfield Operations for a contract company overseas. SO is 35 and a licensed counselor also working on his Master's Degree. I'm also trying to finish my Bachelor's in Criminal Justice/Investigations and Certification for Event Planning (I sooo need to be my own boss).
Wow! Everyone seems so young yet remarkably bright! (Referring to those who studied and are studying post-grad work!)
I'm 35, VP in a major financial institution. I manage a small group of financial analysts. Husband is 28, works as a system engineer for the same company as me. His degree is in sociology/criminal justice but he chose to work in IT.
I'm 27, and a Theatre graduate student. He is 40 and a philosophy professor. We're keeping our fingers crossed that I'll be able to find a job in his city when I finish my degree in a couple of years!
I'm 27 and I'm a litigation attorney. FI is 29 and he's a financial analyst.
I'm 25 and currently a special education instructor specializing in the transition from special day classes-full inclusion. Basically, I attend school with students with developmental disorders (namely ASD) and assist them academically and socially. This year, I'm tackling the 5th grade. Tons of fun.
Right now, I'm looking into Masters & PhD programs in both Special Education and Social Work. I'm just about certified in ABA therapy after completing the graduate course series. Holla @mandb122!
My SO is also 25, and currently a compounding technician at a home infusion and IV pharmacy.
I'm 26 and a Product Manager at an Apparel Company. Fi is an Investment Bank Analyst and he is also 26.
I'm 25 and I work in advertising - media planning.
FI is 24 and he just graduated with his MS in Biomedical Engineering in August. He's still looking for a job. Hopefully he will have something soon!
I'm 23 & I'm a full-time law student. He's 25 & he's an auditor.
I'm 26 and I'm a lawyer (civil litigation). FI is 25 and he's a corporate accountant (derivatives).
I'm 24, and I'm Active Duty in the military. my husband is also active duty. :).
I am 35 and I manage a group of engineers (software development and test). FI is 42 and he is a Director at a hospital.
We're both 27. I'm a lawyer, he's an IT consultant/analyst but working as a software engineer right now.
I'm 34 and own my own business in the pet care field. I'm also an actor. :-)
SO is 44 and an Art Director for film and TV.
I'm 29 and the contract manager and corporate paralegal for a large telecommunications company. I also sell 1/12 scale miniature food on Etsy and have another Etsy shop making items from vintage novels.
My husband is 45 and is a political science professor. He's working on his second book.
I'm 27 and I'm a scientist at a pharmaceutical company and going to school part-time for my masters in pharmacology.
The DH is 28 and a restaurant manager at the moment but he went to art school for illustration. He's trying to get into the art industry and it's pretty tough to get into right now.

I am 26 and teach kindergarten (working on masters). My lovely FI is an IT administrator.
I'm 22 with my RN, BSN. I work for the Dept of Veterans Affairs in an acute psychiatry facility. Mr. Dear is 20 and still a full-time student.
I am 39, and am a Federal Campaign Consultant (Manage Federal election campaigns) and FH is 40 and is a Boilermaker.
I'm 26 and have a degree in Criminology with a minor in Psychology. I work for the city, contracted to the police department to manage volunteer programs at a sub office.
SO is 31 and has a degree in Criminology as well, and is police officer.
@JamaicaBride: here's some pics! 1/12 scale is dollhouse scale (where 1 inch = 1 foot, so items like the pie are about 1" across). All the "food" below is made of polymer clay / crushed pastels.
I'm 23 and have a college diploma as a Law Clerk & just starting finishing up my first semester of a 4 year Bachelor of Arts degree (Major Law, Minors History & Jewish Studies). FI is 32 & a department manager of a big box retail chain while also going to school part-time for a Certificate in Financial Management which doubles as exemptions for courses towards his CGA designation. Whew.
