So I was just watching Judge Judy with my soon to be MIL and it was about a lady suing the band because they didn’t show up to her wedding. This poor bride planned for months, and she actually was waiting to walk into her reception and be announced when they realized the band didn’t show!
Could you imagine if this happened to you? I felt so awful for her! So that got me thinking….do I need a back up plan?
What’s your back up plan? What would you do in that situation?

Holy cow. Does your venue have a PA system? If so, I’d bring my computer and/or iPod to hook into the system as a back up plan. have a playlist ready. But geez, I’d definitely have freaked if that would’ve been me!

I am doing the music myself. I am renting the equipment, putting together playlists, and having a friend emcee. Not only is it saving me about $700 for a DJ, I know I will have music that everyone will love, is appropriate, and I trust myself and this friend to get it done. If you could put together a playlist on your computer and rent the equipment (only about $150), it would be a good back-up plan if a band didn’t show. Then you would also have something for when the band takes breaks.
