I just got my first quote back and $600 is a lot more than I expected. I made sure to let her know that I wanted to keep my flowers affordable since I’m not picky since I love all flowers… Just want to see what everyone else is spending so I can see if I’m being unreasonable or have some room to talk her down and play with some things. I like the idea of DIYing our own flowers but my Future Mother-In-Law has given me such a hard time about it- I might just have to!

I paid about $180 total which included my MOH’s bouquet, 3 mother’s corsages and 5 boutineers for the groom, Bridesmaid or Best Man, dads and officiant (we only had one Bridesmaid or Best Man and one Maid/Matron of Honor – no other bridal party).

I had big sticker shock when I was shopping for flowers, too, so I decided to DIY all of my flowers. I ordered hydrangeas, calla lilies, and gerbera daisies from Sam’s online for a grand total of about $200. There are lots of good videos on YouTube on how to make a bouquet, bout, corsage, etc. Pretty much all you need are flowers, some greenery (which I got at a local grocery store’s floral department for about $5), floral tape, and floral wire, which are both available at Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. I made my bridal bouquet, 2 Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, 3 corsages, and 4 bouts, and it took me about 4-5 hours. Well worth it, in my opinion!

I went with silk and did everything DIY for about $150. Since I am getting married in a garden I don’t think anyone will notice they aren’t real…or if they do I doubt they will care.

my bridal party will not be carrying flowers. I am making these for them to carry. I will be carrying a bouquet. I haven’t decided if I’m going to dyi it or buy the bouquet for the sake of ease, because I have SO much to do before the ceremony.

Our floral budget was really small. We ended up paying just over $300 for three Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, one bridal bouquet, four bouts, and three mom bouquets.
I also considered doing them myself, but we had a Destination Wedding, and didn’t have the time.

I was debating whether I wanted to diy flowers from costco since they are at whole sale price. Or if I wanted to go to a florist for just my bouquet and my wedding party flowers only. And then still buy some flowers from Costco.
But I was wondering the same thing as you were. About how much was I going to spend? I mean the florists wanted me to bring pictures and made it so complicated. That I’m leaning more towards diying myself.
Not 100 % sure what I’m doing but I do want real fresh flowers…

We have a small wedding party so that helps a lot with the budget….Maid/Matron of Honor boquet is $35 (hydrangea and peonie, small). My boquet is about $100 (more hydrangeas, more peonies than the Maid/Matron of Honor boquet, but also with additional roses). Then we ordered 3 mom corsages ($20 each) and 4 boutainaires ($10 each) for the groom, dads, and bestman.
I think the price may vary by location and definitely varies by florist but I still hope this helps.

I had to order quite a few flowers, and mine ended up at $560…for my bouquet, 4 Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, 4 mom/grandmother corsages, 5 bouts and 4 dad/grandfather bouts, as well as 4 usher bouts. Yowzers. 🙂

We did DIY, I went and got flowers from the Harris Teeter that morning. My Mother-In-Law arranged it. We also used the bouquet and extra flowers as a table arrangement.

We had a very small party, so we ended up only paying $200 total. But just so you get an idea of exact costs:
Bridal Bouquet: $110.00
Hand Tied wrapped with white satin ribbon – pink and orange roses
Bridal Party (1): $50.00
Hand Tied wrapped with pink satin ribbon – pink and orange roses and gerbera daisies
Boutonniers (2): $14.00
One Orange Rose (Groom) and one Pink Rose (Best Man) ($7.00 per)
Reception (5): $25.00
Floating Mini Gerbera Daisies – 1 Pink and 1 Orange ($5.00 per)
Hope that helps!

I think the total completely depends on wedding party size, so I wouldn’t pay attention to the headline number.
My “budget” florist proposal is:
$50 per bridesmaid bouquet (5 of these)
$80 for my bouquet
$10 per bouttoniere
$50 per centerpiece
Before I found these prices, I was getting quoted 2-4 times this much, it was just ridiculous. And this was for bare bones “I’m flexible and want the simplest possible stuff” requests. So I was sure that I’d DIY flowers. But the florist we’re using is only $100-$200 more expensive than DIY would have been so we went with her.

I paid $250 for
A brides bouqet
2 bridesmaid bouquets
and 3 boutenierres.
I got these as a 9 piece package from Costco online. They came so beautifully, very well packed and i got a followup call the next day to make sure everything was good. It was the way to go and i highly recommend it!

I think my Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets were 35 each? I had a lot of BMs though, haha. My total bill for my Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets, some vase rentals, corsages – 300 ish.
