Yay Belle! I'm so excited for you :) It sounds beautiful! All the best to you & your family!
Thanks..this took quite a bit of planning after our big move at the beginning of June. But it's done and I love it!
I'll post more about local vendors as soon as the rest are confirmed by moi! It's coming together nicely :)
Tonight I sent off the final draft on our invites, created by Sarah of Belletristics (lovin' that there's a belle in her companyname) and we'll be getting the suite finished soon!
The bright green, hot pink and navy colorscheme is still a go!
Am also solidifying by friday the entertainers. Looks like my friends' band might do the touch! Having to also get w/the cake vendors from the winery (their recommended list) tomorrow too.
Who says you can't plan a wedding in a month and a half?
That sounds amazing, Belle! I am so impressed by your resilience! Are you using the green, pink, navy scheme for your reception as well as your intimate wedding?
So happy for you that everything is "finally" working out the way you want!!! :)
Congrats!!! So exciting. And that is my parents' 34th wedding anniversary so I feel the date is lucky as well. :)
Awww. So glad I share the date with your parents CorgiTales! Thanks everybody!
Yes, we're using same colorscheme and today I got the first proof from the invitation suite. Next week becomes invitation processing plant here.
I had to get everything done so quickly that it is still making my head swim. But it's still coming along.
Off to Paper source this afternoon to get paper. For invites! Anyhow, have a great 4th ya'll!
Still wrestling with the reception photographer. yuck. Everything else going well. That and the cake baker for entertainment.
@bellenga: You had better show us pics when you get back! Yay I'm excited for you!!!!!
You betcha!
Tons of pics here! I've also got a few diy projects to finish creating now...finishing my mossy letters and also an ampersand with two ribbons attached to it to tie to our chairs at the reception, also some oot bags and the favors!
Of course, there is the biiig project now, which is the invites going out! I know I might have eluded tradition and the correct timeframe with which to send them out, but this was a serious situation and our guests understand. :) I'll show them off in a bit..they're amazing! Got the first draft of proofs today and went to paper source and got the papers for the printing and will send them to a local printer to have them professionally cut after we print them! Even the bellybands will be amazing and also the wraparound labels too! I'm going to use a xyron to affix the wraparound labels...
I got a killer rate at two local hotels for the guests as well. Really excited about it coming together, but also very very busy right now too.
Your plans sound so wonderful! It will be a lovely wedding!
Thx ya'll!
Layla I'd love to steal a hemingway cutie for ya, but I'm allergic to kitties. Maybe I could fed ex him?
The plans are going well..just getting a bit tedious the next few days.
Well got the reception music covered! Yay! Btw, I didn't hire my friends' band. They are far too bluesy and didn't have the exact feel of what we wanted and instead got exactly who/what we are aiming for! Booked him thru gigmaster! And yay he was available!
We are wanting an acoustic guitar guy who can play all our fave songs and he's awesome! Plays all around the atl!
So...next is the papers going out and the cake baker! Still on the hunt for the right dress, but may end up using a Key West local designer and having a cocktail dress. First thing is the right white cocktail dress for !
Can I do it within a month? You bet your sweet patootie I can!
Btw, finally feeling better after being sick for all of last week :)
Good luck Ssandy! Wishing you a lovely wedding!
Well we found our entertainer and I hired my friendor, Kasey, who is an amazing florist for the reception! Also close to getting our photographer for the reception. Last thing to go is the cake, and I'm closing that on monday :)
Our invites are going to begin to be assembled this weekend and know the guests are ready!
Get married and do everything in a month in a half?
Heck yeah! It CAN be done! :)

Bellenga---I've been reading some of the ATL bee boards the past couple months, paitently waiting for my boyfriend to propose. Lots of great ideas on here and couldn't wait to get engaged to actually feel that I could legitimately ask you all questions, etc. I'm finally ENGAGED! Happened Sat night and couldn't be more excited. I'm actually MADLY in love with Wolf Moutain Vineyard for the wedding/reception, just worried about costs. Please fill me in on the vendors you used....DJ, Cake, etc etc. I feel so overwhelmed now that it's hit me that it's ME getting married, me! The days of "always a BM, never a Bride" are OVER :)
Love your idea of Key West. I used to go there for Spring Break all the time and it's awesome. Sunset vows will be amazing.
Can't wait to hear back from you!
!!! BELLENGA! I am so happy for you. What a wonderful plan. It sounds very romanitic, and the focus will be where it should be- on you and your FH! The reception afterward sounds perfect. You will be in my thoughts! Best wishes to you, you deserve to have a great experience.
I heart Key West. My sister lived there for 5 years and worked on the Schooner America and at the Theater and later in a "real job." There are lots of good vibes on that island! Cheers!
FI and I decided on a little wedding (an elopement, right in town) in a Chapel at sunset with candles and a little cake and champagne reception afterward with just a couple friends as witnesses and limo ride to and from. I am so excited! Then we will be off to Argentina, Fi's first trip, and back to celebrate our birthdays camping and hitting a waterpark. :) Best wishes, this must be the best summer to get married... :)
Your plans sound wonderful and I'm sure you will have a lovely wedding. Best wishes.
Wow! Sorry I've not been as active here as usual, but I am doing wedding things nonstop right now.
Yesterday in the midst of the crazy weather, I was after work, tasting a very yummy (and blowing my diet) cupcake/cake sample and hiring an amazing bakery! Chose Creations bakery in Cumming. Awesome flavor and detail and price! Also using them to create my favors too! Handmade chocolates in the same motif as my wedding invites and suite! Will be in glassine bags at reception and I'll add to it our monogram for a touch of style.
They're also creating a small mini cake for my stb inlaws and we're going to surprise them at the reception with a 50th anniversary cake too!
The detail and style of our big cake is going to be fabulous, despite us being a more intimate in size gathering. Handmade chocolates in the shapes of seahorses and sanddollars (white chocolates) dusted in sparkly edible sugars in our colorscheme will be on our cake!
@UfMeg: Congrats to you and to your new FI! Such an exciting time. I will privately let you know of their pricing. It is a wonderful p lace and we love Wolf Mountain. Their brunches are also amazing on weekends.
@Cbee: Your wedding sounds also very romantic and just perfect. I love sunsets! Any other tips you might have on Key West from your sis would be appreciated!
@Sudslover: Hugs and thank you so much! It will be so fun! I'm just inundated in details right now.
I promise ya'll, I will do a huge recap of what's been going on with me over the weekend and will try to get a (finally) recap done of our fantastic atlanta bee meetup as well as take some pics of my finished invitation suite (in process and should be done by this weekend to send out saturday)!
Well...hanging here on the 'bee whilst printing the rsvp envelopes...lookin' good :)
Ok! I am over 2/3 of the way finished with everything and I am freakin' thrilled with the outcome! T came up several times to help me with some of the printing of the rsvp's and I spent the last 2 hours cutting cardstock..
Should be on time getting these babies out the door on saturday and monday! Yay! They are awesome in our colorscheme! Preppy beach fabulous!
Update: We are NOT going with Wolf Mountain. Won't go into it because I won't say anything bad yet.
It's already taken care of...we'll be at Sugo! Our other favorite place I talk about here. Perfect!
Sangria will be in hand, amazing food, and they're rolling out the red carpet for us! So happy!
Got w/my friend Kasey the florist this weekend. She is going to do an amazing job. I'm excited!
Oh Good!!! I am glad that everything worked out for your reception. Was feeling bad that things weren't looking good for you-at Wolf Mountain, last minute.
Well we're glad...just got confirmation within the last hour or so that all's a go! It's perfect and our friends are glad to have us there!
All vendors on board too (entertainment, photographer, cake, and my friend Kasey the florist!)
All is calm on the wedding front, except for the invites, which have hopefully been redone and sitting in my "in" box right now. Going to go check after this! Then off to Paper Source for a field trip to buy some more cardstock. Gotta make the menus and drink menus and the re-vamped invites.
They're ready to go with our wedding announcements on them and the info about the reception!
We didn't want to actually send them out too early, because it is announcing our marriage on the 31st in Key West...
WOOOHOOO How exciting! Glad you finally know what you are doing and its almost time!!! Cant wait for pics!
So excited for you Bellenga!!! (and glad it's all working out)
We're Honeymooning in Key West - it's going to make me think of you! You are going to have an amazing wedding and reception! :)
How fun is that Querida? Where are ya'll staying? We're going to be at the Marriott Beachside!
I'm printing out the new invites..and gone crazy making the oot bags with our cute monograms on them and then...well I'll have to take a pic of my beach sandals for the wedding!
Of course...I went bloomin' mad when I couldn't find something to exactly match the crystals on the cocktail dress...so I went to designin'.

We're headed off to Key West from July 29 to August 3 and will be getting married with our toes in the sand on July 31~at sunset nontheless!
I absolutely adore Nika Stroble, of Soiree Key West, who has gone way out of her way to make sure our intimate (just FI, myself and my son although FI's parents are possibly flying in for it) wedding is "my style" and she's my feet on the ground in KW! Great planner btw. After we're married, we'll go to a private dinner and then enjoy our "familymoon"! Our cake will be made there by Cakes by Karol btw.
After lounging around and having fun, we'll fly back to ATL to greet family and friends who are flying and driving in town, as well as local friends for our reception, which will be Friday Aug. 6, at Wolf Mountain Vineyard in Dahlonega. It's one of the two favorite places T and I love to have brunch or visit for special occasions and their food is as equally amazing as the views. Even a vintnor (sp?) will be there on hand to answer questions about their wine selections!
So that's the plan, and we're stickin' to it!
Hugs~
