Ok I’m having a BIG problem with picking what the Groom and his Best Man should wear (there is only those two and a ring bearer – SMALL wedding party) My Groom wants Black but I’m not sure I want that. My theme is more Rutsic Chic with burlap and lace EVERYWHERE! My dress is an ALL over LACE in IVORY & CHAMPANGE. My Maid of Honor’s dress is called Cameo (from Alfred Angelos) pictured here
The ONLY other colors that will be used in shades of puples from very deep like and eggplant color to a lavendar with my flowers, BUT only in flowers. and tables will be covered in white with a burlap/lace runner. here is a picture of a board I put together to best represent what I’m trying to achieve:
That all shown/said what would you suggest for grooms attire? Any advise would be greatly appricated. =) THANKS!

Grey suits for sure! A medium to light Grey would look great with the color of the bridesmaid’s dress and with all shades of purple, especially his tie incorporates somes shades of purple too

Grey sadly, is not an option becuase my groom is very stern about NOT wanting to wear grey. He thinks it is for ‘old’ people. He is making this difficult. LOL

Let him wear what he wants. Black won’t look wrong. It’s claasic. Didn’t mean to sound harsh, just that its the man you marrying that counts.

Since he is getting married, it is his wedding too. He should be allowed to wear the color he wants. I would try compromising now to get some practice in for the years to come…

I was just at an outdoor wedding where the groom/groomsmen wore beige suits and they looked great! You might want to take your Fiance to a place where he can try on different suits, guys will poo-poo things they would like because they’ve never tried them before.

My guys are wearing khaki vest, khaki pants, white shirt, & tie. Would that work? I’ve seen it a lot with rustic weddings and looks perfect! We are having an outdoor wedding as well. They’re from J Crew although I know you can get something similar at multiple places.

Black is classic and he wants to wear black. What would you do if he told you that you couldn’t wear the dress you wanted?
