Ha, we're in the EXACT same boat of being "unofficially" unengaged but planning. And we've been doing nothing but planning it feels like... we're going down to see my parents this weekend so he can ask for his blessing and so he can buy the rock from my dad's diamond guy! And I *think* he already ordered the setting from Blue Nile.

I think/hope. Haha. He's having lunch with my mom tomorrow. And I'm not invited. Haha. So... I had told him before she could help him pick the ring, bc he doesn't know what to get/where to go for sure, so I can only imagine that is why they are having lunch! (Well at least to talk about it!) Oh, and before I had written that his parents were mad about another family issue and were kind of taking it out on us, but that is all resolved. And his parents really do like me. So things are very exciting!
We're pretty much the "unofficially" engaged couple anyway, since we are planning, and really just waiting to make it official.
