So I just got my email from Laruie Sarah saying my ring is DONE! 😀 So excited! I’ll admit, I’ve been checking my email pretty repeditively since we ordered it, but BECAUSE of that, I responded so quickly that they were able to ship it out TODAY, and it’s being overnighted! I’ll definitely post pictures once I get it, but I wanted to show you guys one of the pictures she sent me of the finished ring as a little sneak peak 😉
Mystic topaz center stone with white sapphire sidestones, and alternating amethyst and aquamarine.
I know it’s definitely not your typical engagement ring… but it’s SO me. I’ve always wanted a colorful engagement ring… and now it’s almost mine! 🙂

@Audrey2_sings: Oh, don’t worry, there will be TONS of picturse of this baby from ALL angles once it’s on my finger. 😉
@BluePeaches: Aww! I think the two stones look so lovely together! My Fiance is a March baby, but I’m a July baby. Aquamarine and ruby didn’t sound like an appealing pair to me 😉 BUT, purple is my absolutely favorite color, so I think it still represents us!
@NocturnalNymph: Thank you so much! Isn’t mystic topaz just wonderful? So much character and color! I’m DEFINITELY not feeling very patient, but I know it’ll be here tomorrow… and I’ll probably be waiting by the door until fedex decides to show up. xD
Thanks ladies! I can’t wait to get some pictures of it on my finger!

@letigre: Thank so much! 🙂 I was worried what fellow bee’s would think of it, since it’s such an odd choice for an engagement ring. I’ve never been a diamond girl, so it’s nice to know that gemstone e-rings are becoming more popular and accepted! I actually just found out about mystic topaz a few months ago, but I knew it was what I wanted immediately. Basically, it’s just a coating of titanium on the bottom of a natural white topaz, which changes how the light is refracted and creates all those pretty colors. The stone in that ring is a mystic fire topaz, but the other two most popular coated topaz’s I’ve seen are neptune garden topaz and mercury mist topaz, both of which are stunning but hard to fine.
Here’s a link to a company that has a TON of coated topazs in all sorts of colors, but they’re wholesale only. It shows all the possibilities though. I really hope these stones become more popular and easier to find though!

Definitely don’t feel like there’s anything wrong with it or that other people might be critical! I have a blue topaz & couldn’t be any happier. Yay for gemstone e-rings! 🙂 Your ring looks beautiful, by the way. Can’t wait to see pictures once you get it! 🙂

I love it! The colors look fantastic, altough I have a feeling it’ll look different under different lighting, but that center stone is to die for.

@ifoundmyprince: I’ve seen your ring in several ring porn threads, and I fall in love with it every time! I was seriously considering a blue topaz before we found the mystic topaz. Such a pretty blue! Diamonds are gorgeous for sure, but I just love the idea of having such a colorful, special ring to represent such a colorful and special relationship. 🙂
