Ok ladies, here is my dress. I'm finally getting excited about it! Got my veil, necklace and crinoline in last week.

What do you girls think? I still need alterations but is there anything you are loving or hating about it all together?

    Scalloped veil-amazing!
Just the right amount of bling- necklace, detail, and of course the ring.
Unique gown-lovely with lace and the scallops mirroring the veil.

Get ready to rock it, you look great!

Thanks for all your kind words ladies! After a year of second guessing my decision, I'm glad it all came together! It's amazing what the right veil and crinoline can do!

I love the veil.  Wish I could wear that but my dress doesn't really go with it  :(  Awesome with your dress though.

@abby382:  Im wearing allure as well!! I haven't had alterations done, but did you have it hemmed?? If not, what height shoes did you purchase? Thank you! :)

@tampalove35:  I haven't had alterations done yet. I'm 5'5 and I was planning on having it taken up a bit. I'm wearing 4" heels, but once  I put the trumpet crinoline underneath I don't think it'll need to be hemmed anymore!

@abby382:  I'm thinking along similar lines-- I'm the same height as you. I did purchase kenneth cole 3 1/2 inch satin wedges, but I might have to go with either a slightly higher shoe, or just hope that the crinoline does the trick :) I'm also one of those brides that won't feel bad about selling it, so I don't want to alter it too much.

As for the bustle, I think I will have a 1pt bustle, though I'm a bit worried because of how heavy the lace train might be..

I just LOVE this dress, you look so beautiful in it :)

@tampalove35:  The 3.5 might be fine. I'm actually a little concerned that the 4 might be too high, but then again I was recently told I was 5'4.5', not 5'5". :)

I was thinking a 1pt bustle as well, but the dress is so dang heavy! And it's a Greek wedding, so it's lots of moving and dancing.

I stumbled across this post and I really like her french bustle. What do you think?

@abby382:  That is a pretty bustle-- I'm worried about the weight as well. I know that a lot of bees who said they wore lace had to do an 'under bustle' which I'm not the biggest fan of in lace because lace doesn't always want to lay right. I'm bringing it to me seamstress come April, but I'm working hard on getting to gym to reduce the amount of alterations (so expensive with lace, are you having any done??).  I purchased my dress snug, it fits and zips, but I have a little room to drop 5 lbs and feel more flattered by it.

I actually purchased another dress off of simply bridal (just a flowy $100 dress) to wear for dancing purposes when the night comes along.

PS. Today I actually went out shopping and picked up an affordable pair of platform heels (or hooker shoes as the FI called them). They freakishly make me nearly as tall as him which feels quite odd...but anything to keep that lace from dragging!

@tampalove35:  Those are cute! It's amazing what a platform can do. I don't think I'll need too many alterations. I'd like to lose another 10 lbs before the wedding, though. It zips and fits, but it probably needs to be taken it a little at the natural waist and I could use a little more wiggle room in my hips (you can see it kind of pulling in the pic). That, and I'm going to have her remove the pointy-Madonna cups in the bust.
