ok hive, i found what i thought were the perfect shoes...had them lowered half an inch, tried them on with my dress and they looked amazing, but alas reality began to sink in, they're just too darn high! they're about 3.5" and i am convinced my feet will start to hurt after a while...the other thing is that right now they are perfect with my dress, no hemming necessary but if i change for the reception my dress is going to drag considerably :( i immediately went on the hunt for new red shoes to try for my first actual fitting next wednesday....i'd like some advice on what you all think, here are the three different shoes as well as a picture of my dress!

Below are the two that i bought after trying on my dress:

the pair i bought are red satin - a little brighter red than i wanted, 3" heel

1.5" heel and a really good shade of red, a little dark than the picture shows...i'm not sure how i feel about the "sprinkle me baby" detail (that's what my FH calls it) or the fact that its a thong sandal

and finally, after months of waiting and freaking out that it wouldn't get here before i left for the summer...MY DRESS!!!!

I love the Nine West Joju's! They're a very popular shoe amongst brides. :) I wear tall heels (many 4") all the time so I guess I'm used to it but these shoes often get reviews that state they are pretty comfortable. You can always opt to get a pair of taller wedges to change into for the reception like those platform flip flops for comfort. I'm not a fan of the other 2 choices actually. @missm, i will definitely try those out, tomorrow is my practice day :)

I'm wondering whether i should abandon the red and go with a green shoe which i've seen more places with an appropriate heel height..our colors are pomegranate (deep red) and various shades of green (primarily chartreuse)...the bridesmaids dresses are pomegranate though and so are the men's vests and ties (minus the groom who will be in all white) so i feel like it may seem a little disjointed even though 
there's lots of green everywhere else...

what do you guys think?

@missyjenn - for some reason nordstrom doesn't have all of their colors online but i didn't have to dye any of the shoes 

@lillindy - i found them on endless...they didn't have my size at first but then i signed up to email once they had my size..i got an email the next day and they were mine two days later :) but believe me, i searched high and low...and as you said, they are the PERFECT shade so i'm having a hard time finding a replacement right now...
