the beautiful fireplace & mantel will make a fantastic backdrop. What else to you plan on doing with the room? Can't wait to see how it all turns out!
That's a great location. I can just imagine it and the fireplace will look really nice. I don't even think you'll need to decorate too much since it is already such a perfect spot.
thefuturemrsjewell - they have a bunch of options there with the on site "florist" lady...she cuts palm fronds/greenery and she makes sprays that can be put on 1 - the fireplace, 2 - the chandeliers, and 3 - in black stands that can be placed on either side of the fireplace. I personally think that the fireplace looks awesome the way it is, and i think the chandeliers are cute...so I'm just going to ask them to do the stands on each side. Also, the site manager mentioned that he is dying to put a mantle on the fireplace...and so there might just be one there by May 2010...and in that case, I'd want to put some candles of varying heights on there. We will see though!

ddubzz - apparently the owners who founded the place wanted it to be like a "lodge..." which sounds so strange because its on the water in FL...and they originally had huge moose heads on the fireplaces...so glad they decided to get rid of those years back.
Looove the fireplace! It's a great centerpiece. And the chandelier!

latenitesnackin - I think the chandeliers are so cute! They suggested that you can put some greenery in them...working it all throughout...but then you can't see them! I thought that it was a crazy idea to cover them up! I think I'm going to string white pom clusters from the 4 rafters going across the room...
I love the stone fireplace! The pavilion we are getting married in has a fireplace almost identical, but it's not white.
NewNoble - The BM dresses are a deep ocean-ish blue (JCrew dresses in the "vintage blue" color)...with lime/apple green accents. The manager at the venue is thinking that they are going to get new carpet in the next few months as well...to perhaps a cream/beige or something like that...but he's going to keep me updatd.

I went to my venue today and finally took some pictures...and I just want to share one at the moment...we will be getting married in front of this huge stone fireplace, and I am so incredibly in love with it...what do you think???? :)
