I was just telling my MOH this yesterday!!

Its not fair at all. No one will blame the groom for the wedding going wrong or not being planned properly. It all gets put on the bride.

We should have just made our elopement public and not had to deal with this ridiculous big wedding.

@AirForceWife78:  we did a small ceremony for immigration purposes. Planning a wedding and pmsing has to be the 2 worst combinations.

I just snapped at FI over this. I ask his opinions on things and he basically says, “I don’t care. Do whatever.” It’s frustrating because I worry he’s going to think it’s MY wedding instead of OUR wedding. He’s going to be totally shocked.

Mine wants his hands on EVERYTHING!!! I don’t know why I thought he wouldn’t, but I definitely wasn’t expecting him to have an opinion on every small detail!  The only thing he wants no say in is my outfit; he wants to be surprised.  But he really has surprised me with his enthusiastic planning.  He’s even worried that we are way behind (for late June 2014)!

Haha, it’s not quite that easy for my man! He’s in charge of booking the music, procuring the liquor, and all details pertaining to the rehearsal dinner. If I had to do EVERYTHING myself, I’d feel awful. I’m glad he’s handling some of it.

I do wish he had stronger opinions about some of the details. There were a few days when I felt sad because he had no opinion about music or readings–details to which I have a strong emotional attachment.

So I remind myself that he wasn’t culturally programmed to start fantasizing about the wedding when he was 4 years old, so I cut him some slack.
