I'd avoid the two-day shindig if possible. It seems like a lot to ask your guests to give you their entire weekend, and I'd guess you'd have a good number of people attend either the ceremony or the reception.
Good luck ironing out all the wrinkles. I hope the church is able to accommodate a wedding in addition to all the regular services!
So the pastor got back to me this morning and told me that Sunday at two will work out fine. Oh I am so glad...

So... today was the first day to reserve the center for my reception. i am not in Texas today so my aunt said she would go. Of corse she went but she has a new born and the poor lady... my uncle has a slipped disc in his back so she got to the place at 5:30. She called me to inform me that my date is already booked. For the whole day... So we booked it the following day, a Sunday, and now are praying that the church will allow us to change the date, which seems so possible because the pastor has been so great with us. This is so aggrivating since we have been planning for june 5. Has something like this happened to anyone else?
ps.... is it bad to get married on a Satruday and have the reception the following day? sometimes i like that better
